Aftermath is a studio album by the English rock band the Rolling Stones. The group recorded the album at RCA Studios in California in December 1965 and March 1966, during breaks between their international tours. It was released in the United Kingdom on 15 April 1966 by Decca Records and in the United States in late June or early July 1966 by London Records. It is the band’s fourth British and sixth American studio album, and closely follows a series of international hit singles that helped bring the Stones newfound wealth and fame rivalling that of their contemporaries the Beatles. Aftermath is considered by music scholars to be an artistic breakthrough for the Rolling Stones. It is their first album to consist entirely of original compositions, all of which were credited to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Brian Jones reemerged as a key contributor and experimented with instruments not usually associated with popular music, including the sitar, Appalachian dulcimer, Japanese koto and marimbas, as well as playing guitar and harmonica. Along with Jones’ instrumental textures, the Stones incorporated a wider range of chords and stylistic elements beyond their Chicago blues and R&B influences, such as pop, folk, country, psychedelia, Baroque and Middle Eastern music. Influenced by intense love affairs and a demanding touring itinerary, Jagger and Richards wrote the album around psychodramatic themes of love, sex, desire, power and dominance, hate, obsession, modern society and rock stardom. Women feature as prominent characters in their often dark, sarcastic, casually offensive lyrics.… Read more »

imo full of itself and a rather empty, unfulfilling experience. some cool gore, otherwise goes exactly where you expect it to. likely made just to shock back in the day, similar to guinea pig feels without as much storytelling. would rather watch noe or the house that jack built for this sort of subject matter / imagery

The corpse had a hirsute vagina, personally not what I like. Her labia minora protrusion resembled a beef sub. I’m being particular because as a woman, it’s unappealing to see an uncomely vulva. Albeit, the realism of the cadaver prop periodically waned.

Almost a carbon copy of ”Flesh Meat Dolls”. I dont mind short films, because if its crap its over quickly and I dont need to sit through and hour and a half of it. This was quite good for a 90s film with some good effects. Another short film I recently watched is ”Morgue Street” ( not a request, EUM guys ) it only goes for 11 mins or so and has been banned in a few countries. Worth checking out if one is into extreme stuff. Cheers everyone!

Wow. This was really well shot. The practical effects are okay, not entirely convincing, but still well done.

I agree with Mike up there that this is better than the Necromantik series. The gore and realism don’t 100% meet modern 40k expectations, but it has the spirit. I like how lonely it feels. It’s not true necro porn, but I don’t think it’s out to explore the possible erotic angles of necro. It’s here to shock, and I think it’s understated as much as a necro joint can be.

Also: thank you so much EUM mods for posting all the best, hardest to find movies. Echo-echo the praise, but this is a classic, and you rule for posting.

Could’ve been really good if the body was more realistic and if the necro scenes were longer with somewhat clearer view… The way it is , 4.9/10 to me

The bodies look super fake obviously but how about the fact that they’re using steak knives and gardening shears instead of actual medical tools? lol

The bodies don’t look real.. especially the weight. When he lifts them slightly and drops them back down.. looks inaccurate. Not a fan.. too cheesy.

theres some part of it that looks real while theres some that look fake as fuck especially that scene where the worker was cutting the face to, it jiggles more than face could make it look like a doll and how he slam the body to the surface make the body look stiff and hard

I had never heard of this one before, but it was great. Straight forward and to the point. Not to mention that it actually looks real, which is a definite plus.

Thank you for uploading this EUM.

In my opinion, this is MUCH better than the German Nekromantik films. While they were fun exploitation romps, Aftermath has style and gives the viewer a no-frills look in to the world of necromanticism. There is no dialog, no filler, no character development, only what the subject matter suggests. Very well done film.

As always, thank you to the folks at EUM for the work you do and for hosting yet another effedup movie.
