Plot – Spoilers:
Hostel 2 follows the premise of Hostel 1, with the college guys being replaced by girls this time.

Three art students are lured while in Rome, with a tantalizing imagery of Slovakian hot springs as bait. Soon as they land, they become the objects of an intense bidding war organized by the Elite Hunting Club who offer them as potential victims to wealthy perverts around the world. Over the next few days, they are picked off one by one, but Beth is able to turn her unfortunate situation on its head.

You also have an interesting angle of the sadists who’ve traveled from America to kill for the first time in their wealthy but shitty lives. As it turns out, the one who was meek and unsure throughout, turns out to be stronger when the moment of reckoning arrives.

Random: Ruggero Deodato (director of Cannibal Holocaust) is the cannibal seen feasting on the thigh of Whitney’s lover.

Favourite Scenes:
1. The Elizabeth Bathory inspired scene for its sexuality and innovative method in getting a gore-fiend off.

2. The scene where Beth buys her way out of the Hunting Club:
Hostel 1 prepped you for an escape by one of the captives and so, to use the hunter-becomes-the-hunted principle is a neat touch.

Beth up until this point comes across as suspicious and alert, yet kindly. So the disdain with which she handles Stuart’s engorged cock and balls after severing it is comical and gratifying.
