Country: Russia, Effed Up Russian/Soviet Cinema
Language: Russian (English Subs)
Runtime: 01:34:37
Genres: Rape-Sexual-Violence against Women, Revenge, Family

Plot – Spoilers:
Katya lives with her grandfather Fyodorovich in a small suburban Russian town. She’s friendly and sweet to everyone and mostly a naive, happy girl – some would therefore portend, shit has to be round the corner.

And it’s right there, within her housing project, where Vadim, who went to school with Katya, lives with a couple of his loud friends. Wednesdays are fuckdays for them and when they see Katya walking by, they decide she could be a worthy replacement for the usual hookers they pick up. They end up raping her when she’s unwilling, and Katya and her grandfather are further insulted and shamed by powers that are accustomed to enforcing obedience and silence.

But Fyodorovich, a veteran sharpshooter, is still a good shot…

Despite its Charles Bronson-type poster, The Rifleman of the Voroshilov Regiment is a fairly sensitive and nuanced example from the rape-and-revenge genre, with haunting music and laudable performances.

One of the more plausible and satisfying effed up movies. Revenge can be so sweet.

Really good! Grandpa character was fantastic. Also great acting by Colonel who clearly hated and loved his son.

Excellent movie. Thanks for the subtitles. Pretty sure the granddaughter was really playing the guitar at the end.

The kind of film you never forget, unlike almost ALL western cinema post 2019.

Fuck Russia and their movies. And their soldiers, who are commiting atrocities such as killing civilians and kids and pregnant women all in the name of their deranged scumbag president who obviously has no conscience. I really dont know how that megalomaniac sleeps at night knowing he has blood on his hands. Just drop a small nuke on the Kremlin and blow this fucker into oblivion. I feel so sorry for the Ukrainian people, they do not deserve this and good on the men for fighting back, you are legends.

This was pretty good. Disappointed that he never got the investigator or the police chief but I really like how he got justice with the rapist creeps. 3 out of 5.

That was a good one. Pops had the sort of role that might have suited Clint Eastwood.

Dear Admin, just a thought. My impression is that many of your viewers live in the US and Australia. I really do not know, but it may be that these viewers do not get to see many Russian movies, which would be a bit of a shame. Now, if ‘effed up’ only means violence and blood, forget about it. But if not, how about Trial on the Road and Hard to Be a God by Aleksei German (the first film having always been forbidden in the Soviet Union), or Leviathan by Andrey Zvyagintsev, which is considered by many as one of the best films of this century and is partly based on an event that took place in the US.

Many thanks, Admin, for posting this great movie. Although not as great as Alexei Balabanov’s Cargo 200. I am sure many of us would enjoy seeing more of Balabanov: Brother, Dead Man’s Bluff, The Stoker, and Me too, seem highly appropriate.

Loved this movie. I think it was amazing. Real justice doesn’t exist for most people, and only the few that has money get their justice.

People always try hard to be ”pacifists” and dirty ”hippies”. When something bad happens, they just say things like ”move on”, ”let it be”, ”forget about it” and etc. And that’s something, that i personally believe, only weak people do and say.

Trash/bad people cannot just get away with everything they do. There has to be consequences for their actions. There has to be a punishment. And if the ”justice” system fails, then one have to make their own justice by their own hands.

People have the rights for wanting revenge. Is in human nature wanting that. And only this gay liberal system will oppose to that nature, by treating bad people ”good” or letting them get away with it.

Really good movie. Thanks adm.
