Plot – Spoilers:
A Korean priest Sang-hyun has lost his faith but desperately clings on to the hope that it can be revived. He volunteers for a secretive project aimed at finding a vaccine for an African virus that leaves its victims with smallpox-like features. Somewhere along the way, Sang-hyun turns a corner from his human form and acquires vampire-like gifts and curses. Being a kissless virgin, the gifts acquire greater significance, especially when he meets a childhood acquaintance who is now the servant-wife of a long-lost friend.

Some have described Thirst as adult-Twilight. Which is a disservice to Park Chan-wook.

Perfect example how you can fall in love with SKorean cinema, this film can be taken seriously even with tacky vampire stereotypes

An interesting take on vampire love. I liked it, but I’m odd that way.

Loved it! Anyone who likes dark, messy love, splashed with blood should tots watch this movie. I liked how the movie progressed A LOT. I do not mind the length of the film at all because it is a BLOODY good film.

Too long and slow for my taste. Or at least it seems long.
