Plot – Spoilers:
A Polish student, Tadzik, is visiting his sister (by a common mother), Anka, for whom he feels love and lust but also shame for those very feelings. So when Anka opens the door, Tadzik, who has just decked himself up to smell good, feels ashamed to look at her when he notices she’s topless.
Over the next few days, Anka tries to remain distant from him, treating him like a harmless little kid she knows won’t cross certain lines and regaling him with the virtues of her newest boyfriend, a local neo-Nazi leader. It’s an almost desperate attempt by her to prove she holds no reciprocal feelings for Tadzik that she might have once had. But this only fuels Tadzik’s jealousy and when Anka’s electricity is cut off due to non-payment, he sees it as an opportunity to be the traditional man who’ll take care of her. There’s also an angle of a Romani girl who fancies Tadzik that serves to highlight issues of racism but also Tadzik’s obsession with his sister that colors his empathy and relationships with others.
I was utterly stupefied and disgusted by the lousy love scene between the two… Good thing I never had to pay for this. It is supposed to be the ultimate moment of love and romanticism between someone who’s loved another person for so long and can finally hold her naked in his arms.
And what do we have? A scene where body parts are not shown because they’re hidden by bedsheets. If you don’t mean to let the ass be seen just film something else FFS. Not even a kiss between the two while a French kiss was the least that could be expected at that moment. And a scene that takes place entirely in a shady dark where you can never be sure what you’re seeing while it was the moment to show that everything is revealed and uncensored for the two. And it lasted two minutes.
There are a lot of weirdos on this site, but sometimes there are some romantic people. If you’re one of them, go away – this film feels like a scam where the director did shit his pants before turning that love scene because he was afraid to shock someone, or the production edited it so the movie could be safe for 6 year-old.
They turned a love movie where the love scene is a joke… It makes the experience utterly meaningless. And the title is a lie : I feel ashamed of having lost my time for that shit.
