Junk Films (2008)

Option 1Can't Watch?

Wait 30secs. Movie still not playing? Click the "Can't Watch?" tab.

If the movie didn't load, it means you are being blocked by a security service we use. This can happen for a number of reasons.

Click this first

A new tab will open and a basic security check like a captcha will be performed. After completing the check, close that page and return here.

Refresh this page. Wait 30 secs. The movie should load and you can just hit play.

If it still doesn't play, Click here to watch the movie

The movie should now start playing in a new tab of your browser or begin downloading to your device. This option has the minor disadvantage that English-language movies with optional subtitles in the movie player will not include these subs with this method.

The new system here has been designed keeping in mind even people with low internet speeds sub-8mbps. Even if you have a really bad connection, you should still be able to watch the movie without any issues if you:
Start the movie. Pause it. Wait for 30-45 seconds. Start playing again.

This 'Can't Watch' method really only works if it's your specific device/browser that's interfering with the player. There is no real advantage of speed here. Or if there is a temp network glitch or read lag from the server disk.

If you're still having problems, try using 'Incognito mode' in your browser. On iPhones, especially older ones, use Chrome instead of Safari. Might help.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure that the newly opened tab is not an ad popup asking you to download some software or whatever. Close any such popups and don't download any software - those are ads. Nothing is needed to be done by you other than to complete the security check which is often automated.

Tsurisaka is very good at showing these things without making them seem pointless. I think it’s pretty cool.

Plenty of fuckwits blowing whistles in some of those clips, it sounds like blowing is their full-time job.

I was expecting to see something traumatizing where I would have needed a few drinks after watching this. Compared to the absolutely horrifying shit I have watched, this falls way short. Yes it has a couple of gory scenes but it has to be gory throughout in order to be considered truly fucked up.

Morbid gawking at its best ! I always find it interesting how a crowd of people (men ,women, kids ,dogs ) all congregate around a guys apartment that’s hanging from the ceiling fan in various stages of decomp ..you think the smell alone would repell them ..humans are funny that way ?

Not too bad. Def a one and done type watch but worth it if you’re a fan of this type of filmmaking.

This is a bunch of random films a la “Faces of Death/MDPOPE(without the gay porn).” There are some gruesome scenes (watch at around 39 minutes) but it is really pretty boring stuff. Most of the locations (India, Columbia, Thailand, etc.) I will never visit so it is interesting to see the people and their cultures. I shut it off after about an hour. I might watch the rest later. “Orozco the Embalmer” is a better film because of the unexpected tragic ending that sort of tied everything together. This one is just random “junk.” 2 stars.

Tsurisaki, Photographer of the dead, if you enjoyed Orozco the enbalmer you’ll enjoy this, Real death documentary
the guy is a very talented photographic artist that involves all things morbid & death related, his books of photos on the subject are really amazing but obviously bleak & horrible.
reall death isnt to everyones tastes, but if you do enjoy it or are even just morbidly curious the books, Orozco & junk films are definitely worth checking out, even if its only once.
there are of course a horde of other “Shockumentary” films many of which are here on EUM from faces of death to traces of gore & all inbetween, but if your not sure or on the fence about seeimg such things, id probably recommend going with this & orozco to start with, some of the others venture into questionable territory whereas this is just death.
