Option 1Can't Watch?

Wait 30secs. Movie still not playing? Click the "Can't Watch?" tab.

If the movie didn't load, it means you are being blocked by a security service we use. This can happen for a number of reasons.

Click this first

A new tab will open and a basic security check like a captcha will be performed. After completing the check, close that page and return here.

Refresh this page. Wait 30 secs. The movie should load and you can just hit play.

If it still doesn't play, Click here to watch the movie

The movie should now start playing in a new tab of your browser or begin downloading to your device. This option has the minor disadvantage that English-language movies with optional subtitles in the movie player will not include these subs with this method.

The new system here has been designed keeping in mind even people with low internet speeds sub-8mbps. Even if you have a really bad connection, you should still be able to watch the movie without any issues if you:
Start the movie. Pause it. Wait for 30-45 seconds. Start playing again.

This 'Can't Watch' method really only works if it's your specific device/browser that's interfering with the player. There is no real advantage of speed here. Or if there is a temp network glitch or read lag from the server disk.

If you're still having problems, try using 'Incognito mode' in your browser. On iPhones, especially older ones, use Chrome instead of Safari. Might help.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure that the newly opened tab is not an ad popup asking you to download some software or whatever. Close any such popups and don't download any software - those are ads. Nothing is needed to be done by you other than to complete the security check which is often automated.

AKA:
Directed by: Bruno Dumont
Starring: Julie Sokolowski (Celine), Yassine Salim (Yassine), Karl Sarafidis (Nassir), David Dewaele (David)
Country: France; Effed Up European Films
Language: French (Eng Subs); Effed Up French Films
Runtime: 01:45:27
Genres: Nun, Religion, Mental Illness

Plot – Spoilers:
A wealthy Frenchgirl Celine is obsessively devoted to Christ and on her way to becoming a nun. She sees signs from God in mundane daily things like bright sunlight instructing her to share a piece of bread with the birds. In another era, she might have been on a church-approved path to sainthood. But not now. The convent decides she’s too obsessive to handle and sends her back home instead. A chance encounter at a cafe with a group of Muslim men finds her drawn to one of them who shares her extreme devotion to faith, with a minor difference that has major consequences. His view being that, it’s not ok to grin and bear or turn the other cheek, but rather, one must take action.

If you’re familiar with Bruno Dumont’s work, you will know to expect a slow-paced film that lingers long on moments, while refusing to detail parts that normally would be expected to be given more attention.

Wait! Before you buy that Nyquil. Save your money. Anytime you feel like you can’t sleep put this movie on and you’ll be off to dreamland before you know it. There is usually some sort of pay off sitting through a slow Dumont film but not this time. Some may find some deep spiritual bullshit in this film but this one is just not for me. 1 star.

I watched Buttgereits theatermovie “Video Nasty” here on EUM and realised that the script they are reading from is “Zombie Holocaust”.
Maybe it’s time to upload that classic cult gem here?

Adolf Hitler: In Defense of
the Sacred and the Revered

A series of clips from various speeches delivered by Adolf Hitler in which he vows to wage an unyielding struggle against the forces of nihilism, atheism, cultural degradation and moral decay.

Hitler speaks in defense and support of the sacredness of the Christian religion, the reverence of the the German past and the need to cultivate a renewed and healthy high culture.

The clips reveal a blatant opposition to the idolatry of materialism which is seen as a direct attack on the ideals of the spirit.

The Defender of Christianity
——————————————————

“The Jew himself is the best example of the product of this religious training. His life is only of this world, and his mentality is as foreign to the true spirit of Christianity as his character was to the great Founder [Jesus Christ] of this new creed, 2,000 years ago.”

I know this movie. It’s very interesting. Not effedup, but deep and mildly controversial, and with the kind of nudity I like.
