About – Spoilers:
A b&w surrealist short featuring musician Rozz Williams who also co-directed it. He plays a pig-mask wearing man who drives into the desert to pick up a willing victim with a bandaged head. They travel to a remote house where the killer draws blood from his victim’s cock and veins and smear-paints his body with it. He also carves PIG with a blade onto the man’s chest apart from indulging in some other consensual torture – consensual since the victim rarely flinches apart from his furtive eyes when one of them is briefly exposed. This appears to be some kind of ritualistic killing because the killer consults a book, Why God Permits Evil, which contains a little Nazi imagery, extracts from the biblical Psalms and poetry and art (by Rozz Williams).
Random Trivia:
Rozz Williams hanged himself soon after completing this film.
Is this book of the movie titled “Why God permits evil” a real one or a fictional made just for the movie? I love the bizarre anatomical and occult illustrations of it but i couldn’t find it online.
Any idea???
I liked it!
Boring
I have preteen vagene
i was not expecting it to be this good!
Sat through the whole thing…only started squirming when something was injected into the man’s arm. I absolutely hate needles lol
this is very bizzare. I LOVE IT 5/5
I remember this at horror conventions dvd tables for YEARS in the late 90s/early 2000s. the cover art was a great seller at the time and was always at tables. Finally seeing this now is kind of surreal after 20 years of just the cover. Was it worth the wait? not really, but it’s nice to finally have this up.

Way ahead of its time .. and yes… it’s definitely Art. . With a capital A
“Pig” is a very surreal little movie directed by two weirdos who seem to have been willing to do ANYTHING to themselves for the sake of their odd art. Seriously, there are some f*cked up visuals in here that do NOT look faked, and they managed to make even Me squirm uncomfortably in my seat, and I hardly ever wince during a “shock” production like this. But, seeing a sewing needle going through a man’s nipple and, even worse, his penis was no doubt really unnerving and gross to watch. My main issue with the film is how hard it tries to be *EDGY*. In some ways, this can be effective, but there comes a point in which it’s simply too over the top and obvious. There are skulls and occult-ish imagery and sadomasochistic bdsm and plenty of swastikas all throughout this painful twenty minutes, and, after the initial shock, it gets quite silly. Despite this, I enjoyed “Pig” overall. The atmosphere was very heavy and the visual style was often creative and oddly mesmerizing. There is no real plot, as this is an experimental film, but, in the end, it is much more linear than, say, a Stan Brakhage film, and this makes it work even more. The microscopic and cryptic semblance of plot it does contain is disturbing and wild enough to pull together a decently evocative short horror film that has the power to disturb and interest, no matter how obvious the silly, emo- teenage-boy-esque *EDGINESS* can… Read more »
pig was on a disturbng movie iceberggggg
CD was definitely one of the most overrated bands from the eighties. Hence all the gimmicks.
A legend in gothic rock and experimental noise music circles, Rozz Williams had a knack for the disturbing, and this short film is no exception. A perfect blend of simulated snuff and nightmarish surrealism.
Thank you EUM! I’ve been trying to track down PIG for ages after losing my VHS copy. I’m a very happy camper now.
I love dirty feet smothering my face
“In 1933, as the NSDAP gained prominence, Adolf Hitler took steps to rekindle Christian spiritualism within Germany. To accomplish this, he oversaw the reopening of over 3,000 churches that had previously been closed. On July 20th of that year, Hitler and the Reich government signed a pact with the aim of safeguarding the Catholic Church from the influence of atheist Marxist governments abroad. Similar concordats were given to Mussolini’s Italy (the Lateran Treaty of 1929) & to Franco’s Spain.”
“The Reichskonkordat, as an agreement, granted the Catholic Church a significant role in shaping and overseeing the national education curriculum for the youth of the nation. Under this pact, it was stipulated that for National Socialist children to receive educational benefits, such as free schooling, they were required to identify as Christian.”
