Wait 30secs. Movie still not playing? Click the "Can't Watch?" tab.
Click this first
A new tab will open and a basic security check like a captcha will be performed. After completing the check, close that page and return here.
Refresh this page. Wait 30 secs. The movie should load and you can just hit play.
If it still doesn't play, Click here to watch the movie
The movie should now start playing in a new tab of your browser or begin downloading to your device. This option has the minor disadvantage that English-language movies with optional subtitles in the movie player will not include these subs with this method.
The new system here has been designed keeping in mind even people with low internet speeds sub-8mbps. Even if you have a really bad connection, you should still be able to watch the movie without any issues if you:
Start the movie. Pause it. Wait for 30-45 seconds. Start playing again.
This 'Can't Watch' method really only works if it's your specific device/browser that's interfering with the player. There is no real advantage of speed here. Or if there is a temp network glitch or read lag from the server disk.
If you're still having problems, try using 'Incognito mode' in your browser. On iPhones, especially older ones, use Chrome instead of Safari. Might help.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure that the newly opened tab is not an ad popup asking you to download some software or whatever. Close any such popups and don't download any software - those are ads. Nothing is needed to be done by you other than to complete the security check which is often automated.
AKA: –

Country: USA; Effed Up American Films
Language: English (Optional Eng Subs)
Runtime: 01:27:53
Genres: Serial Killer, Gore-Gruesome, Violence against Women, Dolls-Mannequins
Plot – Spoilers:
Frank’s dead mother’s voice often runs in his head. He has a shrine to her in his shabby room that’s littered with mannequins in grotesque poses. Frank has a thing for fashionable women, fancy girls as he thinks of them (Modern assessments of the movie place his abusive mother as a prostitute, but she may well have been a model instead).
In any case, Frank is fairly comfortable around women who seem well out of his league. But then suddenly, there’ll be that one woman who triggers something in him, causing him to gasp and grunt knowing she’s the one today. At that point his routine kicks in, which is to stalk her, kill her, scalp her and then hammer the scalp full-of-hair onto a new mannequin. She’s now his forever. She will henceforth shut the fuck up for he has preserved her as someone to play with as and when he pleases.
Simply put, a great classic. Some of the victims might leave you chuckling, like this one woman who was probably the stupidest nurse in 80’s NY. The closeups of her panicking are downright hilarious despite her obvious misery.
Random Trivia:
Sharon Mitchell from Taming of Rebecca appears as the second nurse leaving the hospital.

Maniac and The Prowler are the best slasher movies
Joe Spinell was great because he was ugly creepy and greasy looking
hot movie
I watched the remake with Elijah Wood before I watched this one. I like this one better. Joe Spinell is great. He played the part of the deranged killer quite convincingly. It’s not the greatest film but I love Joe Spinell. 3 stars.
Joe Spinell has been in several great films including “The Godfather” (1972), “Taxi Driver” (1976), “Rocky” (1976) and “Brubaker” (1980), made the same year as “Maniac.” Joe Spinell’s most memorable role for me was another film that was made in 1980 called “Cruising” directed by William Friedkin. Friedkin made a little film you may remember called “The Exorcist” (1973). Spinell plays a dirty cop in “Cruising” who likes to cruise gay bars after work. The most memorable Spinell moment in “Cruising” is near the beginning when he and his partner force two transvestites to give them head in the police cruiser. If you’ve never seen “Cruising” you should make it a priority to watch it.

“Did Hitler believe in God? He believed deeply in God. He called God the Almighty, master of all that is known and unknown.
Propagandists portrayed Hitler as an atheist. He was not. He had contempt for hypocritical and materialistic clerics, but he was not alone in that. He believed in the necessity of standards and theological dogmas, without which, he repeatedly said, the great institution of the Christian Church would collapse. These dogmas clashed with his intelligence, but he also recognized that it was hard for the human mind to encompass all the problems of creation, its limitless scope and breathtaking beauty. He acknowledged that every human being has spiritual needs.”
– Hitler Democrat: The Enigma of Hitler
Such a classic, they don’t make them as dark and greasy as this anymore.
