Before watching this I thought I was going to ask myself why the husband is a pussy, and that this movie would just be shock factor. I was wrong. I feel like it showed exactly how trauma doesn’t always make everyone “stronger,” unlike what some people yell in your face every two seconds; “O-oh trauma makes you stronger!” You just feel powerless. I feel like I related to how he reacts to trauma really similarly. You just give in to them so that things don’t escalate. You stop fighting. It’s either you go insane from constantly having to fight back, or you slowly drain your soul by letting your fight go. Beautiful movie, but wouldn’t watch again.

Yeah, Ari Aster is a real loser, no surprise that his fans are mentally ill women or fat men. Nothing creative about this film, a very serious subject that is not being explored in a serious way or even in a surreal kind of extreme way with some type of moral messaging at between. No, just shock value brainless shit. The acting was mediocre, the dialogues were…. No comment, and the camera work was even worse than his recent films.
