Groomed and conditioned, a boy longs for the bruising and loving touch from his previous captor. 3 stars.
interesting watch. almost feels clinically numb, the way richard associates abuse with comfort. its fascinating to ponder how someone’s mind can be devoid of comforts of life everyone accepts without a second thought, instead longing for the feeling of cold, dark sensory deprivation.

just wow… one of my favorite films ever and it’s too bad it’s so short. such an amazing story. every line runs like a poem.
This was really well done. It was very emotional and told a harrowing story concisely within 25 minutes. I think the choice to have the whole film narrated by the protagonist while abstaining from using any other voices is powerful to the narrative of the film. He’s stuck in his own world and is only hearing his inner dialogue. I liked it a lot and highly recommend the watch 9/10

the one movie that’s actually disturbed me. and that’s extremely hard to accomplish. being a victim of csa, this film is incredibly relatable and stomach churning. jeremy podeswa did an amazing job. 5/5

I watched the short film with the sound off. The film maker clearly shows the complex after effects of abuse on a massive scale.
But in it’s nasty and lyrical way isn’t hinting that we are ALL of us, abused and doesn’t it imply that many of the abused come to love the abuse and replicate it one way or another.
If this had half the budget of the new Wrong Turn ‘reboot’, It might have been a serious art film.

Neat to see a Canadian movie, I actually liked the low quality, for a movie like this one.
Didn’t like so much the music, I think disturbing movies like this one don’t need to have any but that’s just minor detail
