Plot – Spoilers:
A filthy apartment serves as a dystopian brothel where three women serve time as dom prostitutes. A government official drops by from time to time to make sure they’re given their shots and are earning as prescribed. A fourth woman joins them and is initially quick to remind everyone she’s only passing through and will be gone soon. But it seems inevitable she’ll be soon institutionalized.
All the women there have been turned barren, though it’s suggested some might have been used to produce experimental offspring in the past. The women’s inability to ever bear kids haunts them in different ways. One of them is sure she’s pregnant, and every few months, drags the others through a ritual of birth simulation. Then there’s another who has a bizarre relationship with the kids she claims to see through her binoculars as they emerge out of a gutter opposite her apartment. She flashes her tits at them, but on other occasions is assaulted by them in a manner that is suggested to be sexual. With food and water scarce, getting an egg broken on their tits is for some reason a punishment they dread, and yet, in keeping with the insanity of the place, they are also turned on by it.
From the director of Singapore Sling, this is less effedup, but more political. There’s plenty anyone can take from it depending on what they’re experiencing in life. Or it could just be a political commentary on how ideologies merely hoodwink you into ironically yielding your life to the very thing you detest.
Kooky borefest with a gibberish script about a dystopian society with 4 S & M type prostitutes being held in a rundown brothel with ghosts of dead children lurking about. Things go haywire when one of the women kidnaps a client and the authorities step in to get to the bottom of it. It’s like an absurdist play that was put on screen just to bore people to tears. I’m sure there is some deep meaning about feminism and control behind it all but, really, who cares? 2 stars.

These ladies are gorgeous! I love the natural black hair over white skin! The cute tall girl with the long straight hair is my fave! She has perfect natural breasts, and a nice bush! I wish she was a little more hairy through the legs and under the arms, but this is good enough! These chick’s are ORGANIC, and better looking than ANYTHING in hawleywould. ‘Singapore Sling’ is a masterpiece, of course. If I understand it correctly, Nikos Nikolaidis felt that this film was just as good, and when it was not recognized as such he stopped making films altogether.
Now, ‘Singapore Sling’ one can just watch and enjoy without wondering what the film is about. This is not the case with film, since from the outset it is clear that it is a work of utopian or dystopian fiction, and so comments on the human condition and social structures, in particular. I would look to hear more about the interpretation of this film from our Greek friends (Peter?), or from the Admin(s).
My first reaction is that the film portrays the female condition in a world dominated my men. So one might see it as a feminist film, a kind of Greek look at male domination as opposed to that of the all-American ‘Barbie’ of Greta Gerwig.
