Plot – Spoilers:
As far back as Sandra can remember, she was intrigued by death and the dead. As a young girl she indulged her morbid curiosity with dead animals in the woods and when she finally went to college, she chose Biology which allowed her close access to dissections.
Though as a teen Sandra was ostracized by her peers, as an adult she feels more confident to seek out the darker edges of her fantasies. So when she meets the owner of a funeral home she is unashamed to ask him for a job and to teach her embalming. The more she interacts with the corpses the more emboldened she gets. Meanwhile, a nervous and awkward med school dropout takes a fancy to her and the two soon start hanging out. But can Sandra be as comfortable and intimate with the living as she is with the dead?
Random: Like in Crash, there’s a sexual scene at a car wash and interestingly, both movies came out the same year, in 1996.
Favorite Scenes:
The first time Sandra and Matt have sex, afterwards when she sees him lying asleep, she is attracted to his stillness until he fidgets around, prompting her to scurry to the funeral home to finally find satisfaction.
I’m not sure if Molly Parker hung around at funeral homes during or before she played the part of Sandra but she captured the essence of individuals that work in that profession beautifully. I had a friend that worked at a funeral home for over 30 years and there is a certain air that surrounds them that is hard to put your finger on but you can sense it. I had seen this movie many years ago and I remembered Molly Parker’s great performance vividly. 4 stars. Must see before you die.

I watched the movie May and was recommended this movie, I can say it delivered the weird girl energy. I’m stuck with the thought that her boss knew why her boyfriend committed suicide but how long is she able to keep Matt is vexing

some parts did feel like a lifetime movie , just slow moving and no real emotion to it. other parts felt over played. but i will say i sat through the whole thing and wasnt completely disappointed. i was really hoping she’d get caught after outting herself to this random stranger but turns out he was just as batshit. i can never get into necro movies the sex scenes are always way too exta for no reason but this one wasn’t too bad. thanks for the upload.
Sandra and Matt’s sex scene reminds me of this bitch I was in a serious relationship with that loved Necro fantasies! To the point of having me lay in tub of cold water with fucking cold ass ice cubes mixed in and lay on the floor “Dead” while she wept over me and rode my cock at the same time. I could never maintain my role for long but it was still a good time.
What a poignant, soul-searching film. To love someone so much that you would give your life to realize and participate in her most intimate passion…. or was Matt in all actuality fulfilling his own deepest, darkest desires by being fucked as a corpse? Perhaps a little bit of both. But either way, most definitely a chick movie. But certainly not your everyday, run-of-the-mill chick.
And on a side note: I find Molly Parker exceedingly sensual. She just oozes sexuality.

this was honestly really fucking good. if you just glance over the first paragraph of the plot (or second if you really want) and it sounds like something you’d be into, then I definitely recommend watching !!
Wow this movie really blew my mind. By the end, I was questioning my mortality and ethics, as a good “fucked up” movie should make you do. The romance felt real and the film is very well shot all throughout. You REALLY want to watch this one. Thank me later.
