Plot – Spoilers:
Bunch of friends from school are meeting after a couple of years at Ta’s remote home and there’s also a love triangle going among them. Ta had a fractured relationship with his stepmom and just got released from juvie following his father’s suicide. The stepmom who was also a teacher at school had been cheating with the school coach and the group of friends had gotten into trouble with the coach after they tried to expose the affair. Basically everyone in this is looking for shortcuts to insta love or revenge and choose black magic for this, that ends up consuming them.
The second in the series is more violent and in some ways a movie of many parts which makes sense when you realize it was made by a team of several directors. There are parts here that are the usual silly annoying young group of friends find shit and squabble, then there are interesting bits around Eastern occult and also surprisingly, nostalgia-inducing short sketches of school and days to never return that transcend cultures.
WATCHING THIS AT MIDNIGHT DIDNT GIVES IT A BIT OF INTENSITY, BUT SURE THE MOVIE STILL HAS THAT CHILLING EFFECTS ON THE VIEWERS, OR JUST ME. WHEN I WATCHED THIS WHEN I WAS 9, THERES THIS SCENE THAT SEEMS TO BE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND IN THE MOVIE, ITS THE SCENE WHERE KIM EATS A PICKLED MANGOES WITH A PENIS BESIDES TO IT, AND SHE DEVOURS THE MANGO AND THE DICK WITH SUCH ABNORMALITY, AND IT REALLY MADE ME UNCOMFY SAD THAT I DIDNT SEE IT HERE!
OVERALL THANKS FOR THIS MOVIE, I LOVE THIS ERRIE EFFECT OF THE SITE.
This basically low level edgy revenge of triangle love, with much more extra step use of shortcut way. both film use black magic like it is the hard way and never see the alternative of other magic lets say the white magic. since the black magic require u alot of trouble it seems white magic much more favorable than the other. honestly i enjoy first one than this. since the previous is more about the class and power distinction with revenge as the driven plot. unfortunately we so desperate and fantasize that the only way the lower class can beat the elite by using “black magic”, the irony behind this is also make interesting plot hole. how that girls pay the shaman ? if one simply said that using herbody as a payment is obvious inequal exchange since the shaman give his labour-power that cant be paid by instant sexual gratification. what an irony

I watched 3 really well made films today before I watched this one and this one pales in comparison. Even so, all is not lost. Though the acting and production are of the B-list variety, there are some interesting qualities to the film and some unexpected moments. I’ll go straight up the middle with this one and give it just a cunt hair over 2 and a half stars.
I hate cats even though my gf has one. Loved the part where the old woman was eating that disgusting creature. All cats need to be turned into national cuisines. It should be made mandatory in every country.
Well, the movie didn’t do too much for me. A few attempts at some jump scare scenes that kind of landed flat. The gore was pretty tame. Not a bad story to build a movie off of, just poorly executed, maybe low budget played a factor.
Favorite part of the movie is the actress that plays Mrs Panoh. That woman is so fucking sexy – I’d inseminate her daily. She could practice her witchcraft on me anytime.
