Plot – Spoilers:
Four friends from the city head into Georgian wilderness for a last shot at enjoying the naturalness of a river that’s about to be dammed. Their lament against modernity comes mostly from the mind of Lewis, the natural leader of the group. For the rest of them, it’s mostly an excuse to go canoeing.
Lewis doesn’t believe anything he does is risky and this leads the rest of the friends to indulge in activities they normally wouldn’t have the guts for. At some point during the trip, they are waylaid by hillbillies who force the chubby one among them to squeal like a pig while being raped.
An influential American classic for those that might not have seen it yet.

I’m 80 (poor old bugger) and I’ve never seen this movie, after reading some of the reviews here, I was half expecting to see some ghastly graphic arsehole raping with crap and blood everywhere, what a relief that the authors of some of the reviews were a bit over excited with their imagination, it was watchable and unlike some of the others here, I didn’t get excited about the bum screwing one bit, I must be one of those rare ‘normal’ males who prefers a sexy woman instead of a sweaty male pointing his hole at me, haaar haaa.
It was a really enjoyable movie, not so for the actors but hey. Burt Reynolds is some sort of a dude and who wouldn’t want to have been married to Lonnie Anderson. Rest in peace Burt and thanks for the action in this movie. All of them were great.
I wouldn’t watch it again, but then have I really got the time now I’m 80? Enjoy your lives while you can people.

Great movie. I especially loved the part where Bobbie got raped in his fat piggy ass. I came big time, but its a shame that scene didnt last much longer. Anyways, I give this a 10 out of 10.

Obviously a 5 star film. The cast did most of their own stunts and insurance wouldn’t cover them if they got injured but they believed in the film so much that they went ahead and did it anyways. Just a great film. That ending shot with the audio is fucking classic.

I took a Hollywood bus tour of celebrity homes once and the tour driver announced “over on the right side you’ll see the house of actor Ned Beatty ,”and lo and behold Mr. Beatty was at his mail box …every asshole that paid $15 dollars for this stupid tourist rack started screaming out the bus window “wee,wee,wee,wee” ,needless to say ol Ned flew a double bird with some choice expletives…! I don’t think that was the first time Beatty had heard that …..poor Ned .”we got us a sow belly” ,”he got purdy mouth ain’t he”..

Classic movie which rises far above the sea of trash movies on this site. Ronnie Cox plays such a different character to the slimy villains he plays in Robocop and Total Recall.

What fucking kind of movie is that? Some of the behaviors of the characters are incomprehensible. You have the choice to be perplexed by the extreme degree of stupidity of some of the behaviors or by how faggoted they are. I really couldn’t understand what the fuck the characters were doing or meaning through their actions or conversations. Sometimes it felt like following the plight of whiny bitches who can’t make a decision like “do I shoot a guy who’ll kill me when he sees me???” FFS, where does such a character have any kind of credibility? Not in my eyes…
