Vignettes from the lives of irregular folk, most of whom are uniquely malformed, who get connected to each other at different points.
There’s a young woman with her ass where her mouth should be, a pedophile who abandons his wife when she’s about to deliver their child and who instead visits a brothel that hosts myriad perversions such as a young girl with opaque skin rather than eyes. This kid then continues to work there well into her 20s when she’s oft-visited by a fat waitress. There’s also a dwarf on a TV show, a couple with deformed/burnt faces, and the pedophile’s now-grown son who wants to be a mermaid.
Almost to subvert the idea of the gross and ugly are visual aesthetics that try to be picture-perfect, making for an interesting watch, despite the shallow storylines.

Thought this would be boring, since I’m the type to lose interest quickly, but it was interesting. The characters were portrayed well and thoughtfully, and the film itself was a refreshing change from the normalcy in media today. Good watch.

BEST MOVIE IN THIS SITE
Weird, original and super underrated! I was very positively suprised by this one. The camerawork, music and the way all of the lives of these people intertwine is just very enjoyable to see and even the “darker” moments carry their own atmosphere in some way, without being overly graphic/depressing. I really like the cohesive use of lavender (being my fav colour) and pinks during the film. Honestly one of the best odd movies I’ve seen and it even dives into some deeper, philosophical topics with the narrative. I almost didn’t want it to end and it made me wish there would be a kind of show akin to this concept.
It was something else, one of the best effedupmovies i’ve ever seen.
If Samantha blew out the birthday candles with her buttmouth by farting, that would really make the flames bigger instead of putting it out due to the methane, lol

Who’d have thought I’d find a new favorite movie tonight. Involuntarily magnificent.
I know she’s an old lady… but I utterly detest any kind of sexual censorship. I utterly detest the smell of intimacy coordinators in a movie and the pink hairdo she’s wearing down there reminds me I’m watching a movie, that that said movie wanted to look like it’s transgressive, but the production shat their pants and didn’t go so far as to show the full frontal nudity of an elderly woman. It would not have turned me on and I’m sure the lady has grandchlidren – but if you’re a director who wants to make a effedup movie, there’s a moment you have to make some choices. Now the spirit of the movie is gone since we know the production were cowards. Intimacy coordinators remind us that we’re in the 2020s, that we’re watching a movie where they altered the artistic intention, that nudity now has to be censored because males are perves and that the male gaze is the most disgusting thing ever. Fuck it. The effect of intimacy coordinators is not only visual : it’s artistic – they destroy the suspension of disbelief a movie needs to work.

This movie reminded me how great single life is. Not that I needed reminding. Can’t recommend it enough (the movie, not my lifestyle). Definitely something you won’t see on Lifetime (the movie, not my incel life).

Bizarre comedy that is hard on the eyes at times. I’ve never seen anything like it before. It’s a very original film and belongs on here on EUM for sure. I’m not a big fan of comedies but I think anyone that wants to see fucked up films should definitely see this one. 4 stars.
