Plot – Spoilers:
Adam and Eve crawl unlovingly towards each other in a filthy Garden of Eden. That’s the frame narrative around a bunch of gore shorts with Christian themes including:
- A woman punishes someone she thought would be her friend for life.
- In an extreme act of devotion, a monk indulges in self-flagellation and is rewarded when Christ manifests before him. The monk pulls a doubting Thomas and examines the wounds only to get excited and gorge on the Lord’s innards. Christ though, has the final moment of ecstasy.
- A lady standing before a crucifix and an old Latin glossary puts on a show for the Lord by ripping out her eye, nipple and clit.
- Three outcasts are picked to be part of a snuff film in exchange for some kind of compensation to their loved ones.

I’m attracted to gore
5 short surreal type films that have barely any dialog and are mostly void of plots except maybe the first and the last one. In the third one the girl plucks in her eye out, cuts her left nipple off then cuts off her clit as what I thought was some sort of sacrifice to Jesus and The Bible but when they showed a close up of the book it looked more like a dictionary so I really don’t know what the fuck she was doing. The production and gore are good but the droning music just made me want to go to sleep. There is a little blurb at the end to try to explain how deep this shit is but it was still fucking boring no matter how you slice it. 2 stars. Side note: A really great movie that features 4 short films is called “XX” (2017) with each film being directed by a female director, hence the title. The first story is called “The Box” and it is definitely the best of the bunch but the other stories are good too. I discovered this movie after I watched a film called “I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore” (2017) which stars Melanie Lynskey (she’s in “XX” and that’s why I found it) and features a great performance by Elijah Wood. Painfully boring.
I had an hour to kill and found this film. Read the EUM summary and thought f*ck it, maybe it wont be something filmed by a pretentious film student. Well I was wrong. As for the special effects, ok in places, but what really redeems it is the fact it isn’t a film by that insufferable pr*ck Lucifer Valentine. 1/5 chopped onions.

Kept me interested enough to keep watching to see what would happen next. Not a bad effort considering a low budget film but cannot compare to ”Vore Gore” another Italian anthology movie I saw recently. Hint EUM.
