A man perhaps affected by the death of someone close, maybe his grandma, begins wandering in the snow before turning his attention to himself. He cuts himself up, shoots himself in the head, picks at a boil on his face, cuts off his dick with scissors, hammers at a dead rat while rubbing one out, murders a jogger, rips his ass apart with a crucifix, before finally going after a woman dressed like his grandma. Or maybe it was her he was missing all the while. Who cares. Just nice practical effects.

Eh, this thing got me a bit disgusted, nothing about this film is exactly good, other than the effects that are pretty gory, though i’d must say the blood looks like ketchup or jam. Maybe it’s good for the people in this site that like gore/snuff but if you want something good, honestly just watch Tumbling Doll of Flesh or something of that nature, Tantrum feels like if a school art project met extreme gore rather than a film.
The grandmother character REALLY reminded me of mother nature in begotten! loved begotten and enjoyed this a lot as well.

Jokes aside, to me, it seems a little like this has been a project to check what you can do with effects, something experimental. Of course, there is no coherent plot – at least none that I can make sense of. Sure, you could argue that there is a hidden symbolism behind those masked persons, something Freudean maybe, but that still feels a little farfetched.
Overall, it was fun to guess what he might do next, but nothing more. The length is good for what it is, a longer movie would have possibly killed my attention span with the choice of music. 😀
