A man wearing dark glasses and a scarf rents a house and remains cooped up for a few days with his ill wife. After a week, nosy neigbours bothered by the stench emanating from the house and because they’re nosy, decide to investigate. They find the rotting corpse of a young woman. The police discover that the corpse was fucked long after death and link it to a similar case from a while back. The Chief Inspector begins an investigation that leads him to a brothel and a strange man who was recently released from an asylum, having served time for necro activities.
Corpse Mania is putrid as a detective or mystery tale but possesses good value for its necro angle.
Detective story with unintentional humor and some bad looking fake blood but it’s totally worth watching. The ending is fantastic. 3 stars.
Of all the many movies I’ve selected to watch on this brilliant site after moving through them all from A to Z I’ve found some which were positively excellent, some just good, some not so good. Now, since starting again at the beginning I came across this one. The description sounded ok but it is without doubt THE ABSOLUTE WORST I’ve seen so far with no redeeming features. A complete waste of time. It even seems to have repelled its own soundtrack and it seems to have been dubbed over by complete amateurs. But I am not downhearted. I’m sure I will find more gems on my second run-through!
