What’s worse than lugging yourself to an audition with a gangrenous foot?

Well, there’s no doubt about it. It’s kooky. It’s a comedy/love story about a girl who is in to self cannibalization. There are some funny parts with Candice, like the incident in the parking garage, but it kind of drags in spots and is about a half an hour too long. Watch after the credit role for Jethro eating a nibble of Novi. 2 stars.
A better film about a girl who is in to self cannibalization with a more serious tone is “In My Skin” (2002) with a great performance by Marina de Van.
Poor acting and a shit ending ruined what could have been a great film!

The best movie to watch after this is, Swallow. A pregnant newlywed is addicted to eating strange stuff like batteries, rocks, needles, etc. I’m not trying to request it but y’all should add it. It is pretty effedup.

Another great little film I would never know about except for EUM. Still think “In my Skin” is the better film in this genre but “Eat” is definitely worth a watch. 4/5 nibbled thumbs

I have to admit to watching the munching scenes through fingers. The casting couch was well timed comedy. I did want a happier ending but the homage to Rambo was a nice touch. THX for making this available as it had passed me by.
