This is from the British release that features four other short-films along with Cutting Moments as the final short. Due to censorship, couple of moments are cut here (shears squeezing a bloodied breast). But unlike the version of Cutting Moments in Family Portraits, this one has an extended ending.
The other shorts in this anthology vary from interesting to laughable, but if you want the whole of Cutting Moments, it’s best to watch both versions.
5 weird short films that are all pretty good.
1. 00:30 “Crack Dog” is a really short comedy skit. Kinda silly.
2. 05:50 “Don’t Nag Me” is an amusing story of a ex-military man that was discharged for psychosis who kills his wife.
3. 24:25 “Bowl of Oatmeal” is about some oatmeal that tries to persuade a guy to take more interest in things.
4. 33:15 “Principles of Karma” is about some punk rock type high school kids that are bored with the same routine who end up involved is some weird shit.
5. 51:00 “Cutting Moments” is a pretty famous film. Unlike the previous 4 which have a comedic element to them, “Cutting Moments” is much darker and kind of bloody.
I’ll give this one 4 stars mainly for the last short “Cutting Moments” but I liked all of them.
