About – Spoilers:
Developed by sculptor Niki de St. Phalle with director Whitehead over a couple of years, Daddy is partly based on her own life. An initial version was shot with Niki playing a 12-year-old, but this was later changed when all concerned felt it wasn’t working.
Plot – A woman looks back on childhood abuse and her twisted relationship with her father. There are recreated fantasies of revenge and dominance and a belief she is free of him, until it dawns that she is not.
Random:
The little girl featured in the controversial scene was the daughter of Clarice Mary (who played Mummy); Clarice and Niki were lovers at the time and Rainer von Dietz (Daddy) was also an ex of Niki. So you’d assume due care was taken during filming.

man this movie is so boring like whats the point of it all , apart from the pool scene which is kinda wierd n fked up , how did they get away with it … but other than that this movie is complete trash , 1 and a half of my life wasted

I was familiar with Whitehead from his work with Pink Floyd, before this movie by about 6 or seven years. Interesting juxtapose, with the weird revenge theme and pre rockstar documentary. Mtv has some funny roots.
