This is here mostly to complete The Woman trilogy.
Darlin’ who was taken by The Woman at the end of the earlier film, is brought in feral state to a hospital, from where she’s later taken to a boarding school for girls. The school’s about to have its funding cut and the bishop who runs the place, sees in Darlin’, an opportunity to farm some publicity and funds if they can transform her into a regular girl. The school as it turns out, is for the bishop, merely a harem for generations of virgins.
This is the tamest in the trilogy and seems to suffer from focusing too much on some kind of gender and ideological agenda rather than delivering on the gore or violence. Even during the finale, when there was an opportunity for a bloodbath in the church, our hopes are merely tickled by the kids vomiting in shock, rather than actually delivering anything significant.
So Darlin’ is taken by the cave woman at the end of “The Woman” (2011). At that time Darlin’ was about 5 or 6 years old and could speak English about as good as can be expected for someone that age. 10 years later, after living in a cave, she can only grunt and can no longer speak or understand any English at all? Later on she talks like “Me hungry. Want food. You Tarzan? Me Jane.” It gets fucking tiresome. Let me tell ya, if you guzzled down a couple of shots of bleach you wouldn’t be walking around care free. There would be serious consequences such as excruciating pain, inability to communicate verbally, sudden blindness, and a myriad of other unpleasant sensations, no matter if you were a cave woman or not. “The Woman” is the best in the trilogy and I recommend it. “Darlin'” is the worst in the trilogy and I don’t recommend it. 2 stars.

A good film & sequel, but lacks disturbing, oddly creepy vibe of its predecessor ‘The Woman’ which i rate very highly, but better than the first film in this trilogy called ‘The offspring. follows the story of little girl Darlin after the ending of ‘The woman’ where the feral woman kills off Darlins weirdo family & takes the little girl & disappears, this story begins years later Darlin turns up feral to a hospital after years of living wild.
Definitely worth watching if you have any love for the other 2 films.
