Coming a few years after Christiane F, this was marketed as the Italian version, though the similarity is only in the theme. And a trashier version at that. The version featured here is the English dub due to a lack of English subs.
A teenager, Hanna, kind of lives for others – whether it’s spending her earnings as a hooker on dresses for a mother that refuses to accept her ageing self or sharing some sweet stuff with her junkie friends. Used to being used, Hanna eventually falls for Miguel who initially sweet talks her into porn before pimping her out and turning her into a junkie. Along the way, Hanna finds another man and some B-movie stuff ensues. Ann-Gisel Glass was 20 at the time but does a pretty good job pulling off Hanna’s age-related vulnerabilities while also engaging in copious guilt-free sexuality that includes blowing a tap.
It’s a real b movie. Bad acting and a low budget production but still charming in it’s way. The cold turkey scene was a little weak and her boyfriend seemed like he was losing it more than she was and he doesn’t even do drugs. The ending was a bit much. 2 and a half stars.
If you want to see someone go cold turkey on heroin watch “The French Connection 2” (1975). Popeye Doyle gets kidnapped by some drug traffickers, is then forced to become addicted to heroin, then gets dumped off in front of the police station where he has to go cold turkey. IMO “The French Connection 2” is better than “The French Connection 1” (1971) which was directed by William Freidkin, the same director that brought us “The Exorcist” (1973).

Anyway, the story is really a pile of dog shit. I didn’t feel bad for her one bit. She’s a whore, loves the attention and the lure of potentially making money. Liked the setting in early 80s Italy; not a lot of films available to see what the country looked like then. Nice and grimy.
