While this film has been poorly received mostly for its perceived bias in depicting Karla as a victim of Paul, it does use subtleties to show her manipulative side as she attempts to charm the older psychologist entrusted with determining her eligibility for parole. It’s certainly nowhere as bad as the ratings and reviews would have us believe. There’s also the additional treat of Paul’s terrible music.
The movie’s cool. It lacks nudity, but deserves to be watched. The story is serious and the tone borders effedup enough for the movie to be respected.
But they could at least let boobs be shown… It’s unartisitic in such a movie, nearly disrespectful.

This film gets a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes which is just ridiculous. This is a very good film. It is slanted in a way to favor Karla as somewhat of a victim but does not really portray her as an unwilling participant. The truth is that Karla was just as much of a sadist as Paul Bernardo but this film does depict Karla in a softer light. Karla is free now and is married to her lawyer’s brother. I guess her husband is ok about sleeping with one eye open. Paul Bernardo is 61 years old now and loves it in prison. He’s had more cocks in his mouth and up his ass than he could have ever dreamed about. His favorite type of gay prison sex is when he gets hogtied and the prisoners run a train on him.
Anywho, this is a really good film. Most critics have let their hatred for Karla and her crimes cloud their judgement of the quality of the film. I say 4 stars.

to me great movie and all. They played the roles well, and I will say, going into the true crime of it, even if we were to say we believe in Karla’s side on her being freaked out when Paul killed those girls and has remorse then, but not for her sister make no sense at all. yes her sentence was low, but that’s most likely because of the deal she made with the police. I’m pretty sure if she had not made that deal for 1, it would have taken them longer to catch him, and maybe not even at all. 2 She would have gotten a higher sentence

Yes it was like aTV movie but it’s story pace and true crime element where all,excellent as where the leads

What I don’t get is how they were able to get away with killing the little sister without a basic autopsy being conducted to investigate the cause of her sudden and unexplained death. People don’t just inexplicably die with no questions asked

I forgot to mention in my initial comment on this movie, im sure there are many true crime fans amongst the EUM crowd, if you have a strong stomach & are kinda desensitised like me & want to hear about the intimate details of what actually went down in these cases & what paul & Karla did to this girls….word for word what was spoken & descriptions of what was happening in those tapes that were made by Bernardo & Homoloka before those tapes were destroyed, i suggest you go to youtube & find a podcast called HUMAN MONSTERS which is hosted by a guy named Morgan Rector &, it goes for about 3 hrs, but is the most detailed deep dive into this case you’ll ever hear, in fact i find it hard to believe with all the censorship bullshit that its available to hear, but if you really wanna know listen to this & please get back to me about your thoughts, im not fazed by much, but this was the most graphic & horrific shit ive ever heard, listen to it & please let me know what you think…..im not sure how morgan got this info but fuck me……itll change you

I didnt mind this movie, Prepon plays a good role though everything ive learned i saw about Karla shows they took a very sympathetic view of her in this movie, yes Bernardo abused her but she was a nasty fucking thing on her own, weak willed but also got her kicks, Paul didnt have to goad her too much to bend to his will, both evil cunts.
