When Charlie, a 16-year-old, isn’t aimlessly riding his bicycle, he hangs out at a kid’s park where he probably spent a lot of his childhood and is therefore a comfort-zone for him. His boredom changes to trauma when he walks in on his dad’s suicide and feels even more alone at home when he realizes his mother was in an affair with Dad’s buddy. Soon an older Frenchwoman catches his eye and he starts hanging around her place and one day sees her spanking a bound man. Charlie’s initial attraction is heightened by this novel discovery of being in the presence of an actual domina and he persists until she agrees to employ him as a gardener.
My Mistress is a fairly mainstream take on the genre, but it’s interesting to wonder whether the gender of the people involved is what makes it seem so. Would it feel as vanilla, if the genders were swapped?
This is some corny rich fuck’s fantasy. This is more syrupy than the corniest Lifetime movie you’ve ever seen. Maggie is hot looking and she has a nice ass for sure. If it wasn’t for the body double stand in, this movie could have been rated G. The goodbye scene on the kid’s race car bed was so sappy and corny I thought I was going to vomit. It’s a shame because it started out promising but ends up being a total dud. Maggie is fun to look at but this movie fucking sucks. 1 star.

This movie seems to have characters that serve no real purpose. I’m not sure what the trouble making guy was all about. Was he an old pimp, a current client or the guy who got her hooked on whatever drug she used to use? In any case he really didn’t need to be in the story and offered nothing except perhaps to show that Maggie had a dark past. I also didn’t really understand why they gave her character a son. He had very little to do with the plot.
This movie is worth a watch however, just to see the beautiful Emmanuelle Beart dressed as a Domme.
I have a boy from middle school that is my mistress but he’s getting too old. I will have to replace him soon.
There’s a moment in the movie that should have been longer and not interrupted by a useless asshole who could and should have been doing something more interesting like tidying his socks. It doesn’t make the film meaningless, but it would have added some drama if there were at least a scene with some explicit visual. The movie nonetheless deserves to be here.
