Plot – Spoilers:
Billed as an unofficial remake to the German classic, there’s not much similar here other than a version of Karl the Butcher and the opening sequence involving Karl’s childhood. In fact, there’s not much of Karl either and he’s more of a gore-slave who goes around chopping up people under the command of others.
This one takes place in Rome where limbless victims have been showing up and a sheepish German officer arrives to help with the investigation and connect Karl to it all. There’s also a Professor played by Giovanni Lombardo Radice who’s been a key part of several iconic eum titles, but is just irritating here. In fact, the movie has irritating long sequences of dialogues and characters and just not enough of violence, attractive women and gore, the snatches of which when they’re present, are pretty good. It takes until the end of the movie to have an extended sequence where a sanitized orgy happens with human body parts as stimulants. As for the plot and something about Atilla the Hun, it’s not really clear what the fuck’s going on.

Lilli Carati appears in her final movie role, briefly here. Carati was a Miss Italy runnerup who moved to sex comedies and also did some porn.
