Plot – Spoilers:
A crazy man lives on bare resources in a rundown bunker in what appears to be a post-apocalyptic world. He distills a high-proof and potent spirit from everyday eatables and knocks himself out of his loneliness, though he tries to perceive loneliness as a woman he’s in love with.
Into his world arrive a young girl and boy who look desolate and hungry. In exchange for a place to stay and eat, he puts them to work on an elaborate and fantastical project converting the ruins he lives in, into a surrealistic wonder made from cardboard, wood and tape. The girl is charmed by his ramblings and there is an instant bond between them while the boy is wary, yet powerless and emasculated.
We Are the Flesh with its ending leaves things open to interpretation but there is probably some God, Adam, Eve and Lucifer thing going on here as well.
This movie is very artistic in its own way! I enjoyed it. Thanks EUM!
This movie is underrated, it’s worth watch and has a great soundtrack.
Sotto voce and delicately asseverate.
El cine mexicano es una mierda

This movie is why you are here on this site!
It’s good movie but evertime he play the drum I wanna eat my arm
That was great. Thanks EUM for another entertaining night. The metaphors were hard and fast with this movie. Mexican art at its finest.
Beautiful in it’s way, lot going on here, far from main stream. Would watch again.
Weird. Really effed up. It grows on you. The more you think about it after watching it, the more you like it.
No hashish was harmed during making of this movie.
This is a masterpiece of effedup cinema. There is nothing gratuitous about any of the fucked up things going on… if anything there are a lot of subtle (or not) messages behind… This is one of the very best effedup movies I’ve seen in a while. It stays with you way after the credits roll
Richard is obviously king. Your cry baby feelings are hurt so deeply you just can’t stfu. Why don’t you grow up you immature gay cry babies?
