New York Ripper (1982)

Option 1Can't Watch?

Wait 30secs. Movie still not playing? Click the "Can't Watch?" tab.

If the movie didn't load, it means you are being blocked by a security service we use. This can happen for a number of reasons.

Click this first

A new tab will open and a basic security check like a captcha will be performed. After completing the check, close that page and return here.

Refresh this page. Wait 30 secs. The movie should load and you can just hit play.

If it still doesn't play, Click here to watch the movie

The movie should now start playing in a new tab of your browser or begin downloading to your device. This option has the minor disadvantage that English-language movies with optional subtitles in the movie player will not include these subs with this method.

The new system here has been designed keeping in mind even people with low internet speeds sub-8mbps. Even if you have a really bad connection, you should still be able to watch the movie without any issues if you:
Start the movie. Pause it. Wait for 30-45 seconds. Start playing again.

This 'Can't Watch' method really only works if it's your specific device/browser that's interfering with the player. There is no real advantage of speed here. Or if there is a temp network glitch or read lag from the server disk.

If you're still having problems, try using 'Incognito mode' in your browser. On iPhones, especially older ones, use Chrome instead of Safari. Might help.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure that the newly opened tab is not an ad popup asking you to download some software or whatever. Close any such popups and don't download any software - those are ads. Nothing is needed to be done by you other than to complete the security check which is often automated.

A gripping murder mystery/crime drama about a wise-quacking drake who is apparently New York’s version of Jack The Ripper. It’s silly but I loved it. 3 and a half stars.

I have always been disappointed that no one has made a really good “Jack The Ripper” film. The best one I have seen is the TV miniseries “Jack The Ripper” (1988) Starring Michael Caine as Chief Inspector Frederick Abberline. The budget was huge and they spared no expense. The sets and the acting really capture the mood of poverty stricken Whitechapel in 1888 as opposed to the rich swanky lifestyle of upper crust Londoners. Unfortunately the whole movie is ruined (just like “From Hell” (2001) with Johnny Depp was) when they claim at the end that Sir William Gull was Jack The Ripper. Elderly stroke patient Sir William Gull was most definitely not Jack The Ripper. A documentary called “The Missing Evidence: Jack The Ripper” has very compelling evidence that Charles Lechmere was Jack The Ripper and a movie should be based on that theory IMO.

Plenty of brief appearances but is not lacking in intrigue.

A true classic in the original Italian masters of slasher flicks. I recomend this one for those with an interest in the roots of gritty cop verses serial killer genre.
