A junkie is in the final throes of his addiction as his body starts to come apart. As far as he’s concerned, he’s the last living man on the planet apart from a version of himself that he sometimes is sexually attracted to.
In the beginning description it states hydrochloric acid but the bottle this dude had said H2SO4 which is sulfuric acid
If you are going to watch this get ready to have your mouse on the pause button so you can read the blurb at the beginning that flashes by at blinding speed. It’s kind of important to read it before viewing the film. From a cinematic viewpoint this movie is top notch, i.e.; the art direction, the lighting, the soundtrack, the cinematography, etc. From a story standpoint it is somewhat boring because, let’s face it, drug addicts are boring. The main subject in this film seems to have been in his dwelling for quite sometime, judging by the smegma and mold on the walls and the condition of his bed sheets and bathroom. After he finally takes a shower he puts on the same old shit stain skivvies that he was wearing prior, which negates the benefits of the shower. I got the feeling that he must have been living in his mom’s basement since he didn’t seem to have any concerns about money or a job. There are strange sequences with apparent hallucinations featuring balloons and bunny heads and, of course, the ending which will fuel debate. Because of the body decay aspect, this film is reminiscent of the movie “Thanatomorphose” (2012) which can be found here on EUM. What krokodil users experience must be horrific beyond words. This is a nightmarish, bleak, relentlessly sorrowful movie that does its job very well.

This film grated on me, from the monotone narrative to the self indulgent themes (Christ, reborn etc) and having a (clean) stuffed toy crocodile on the (dirty) bed – yeah I know what the drug’s nickname is/what it is reported to do to users .. so f*ckin cliche. The choice of music (imo) just underlined how self indulgent this film takes itself to be. This film (imo) is akin to the director filming himself masturbating while looking into a mirror… 0.5/5 crocodiles

Absolutely terrifying. Difficult 2 watch some scenes.

OK movie, great acting but somewhat unbelievable… what does this guy hang out at Planet Fitness when he’s not shooting up krokodil, kinda looks like the Russian version of Bradley Cooper gone bad. Saw a documentary bout this drug years ago… so sad, hope something is being done about it, but for addicts it would probably just be on to the next crazy ass fix.

Reminds me of a buddy of mine addicted to Heroin. Had nothing and didn’t care to do anything except Heroin. Now, clean for like 3 years, owns his own business, makes way more money than anyone in our friend group and is just happy. Anyone can get clean and live happily. Stop killing yourself.

An extremely insightful and beautiful film about addiction and its hardships. The superb acting and ending of the movie is incredible and definitely deserves five stars.
WOW, what a sad and powerful movie with great acting and fantastic music. This is a film that sends a message and does it well. Domiziano Cristopharo went on to direct Doll Syndrome and Deep Web XXX among other great films prior to this one. Well worth checking out if you are into weird shit. Once again thx to EUM for showing this awesome feature.
