Plot – Spoilers:
A bunch of wealthy teenagers rape and murder their teacher. They dissociate from their behaviour by creating an entity Trevor, who is the epitome of their impulses and certain ideals they’ve sworn to live by. Basically, a sophisticated justification for living a life of debauchery.
But their parents cull their plans by sending them out to sea, in the hands of a man referred to as The Captain. The Captain with his enviable cock is notorious for squashing aggression and overt-masculinity out of teenage boys and turning them into docile, harmless lifeforms. What follows is a gender swapping nightmare for all involved.
In choosing women to play the boys’ roles, guess the Director felt it was easier to first hide tits, rather than later sprout them.
Likably and functionally original, atmospheric and well realized piece of symbolic(/allegoric?) cinema; it could possibly be a tiny little bit sharper but it doesn’t ruin it at all. I’m glad I stumbled in this for something different and quite masterfully done. Thanks
5 feminine looking juvenile delinquents, or should I say, pardon the expression, “little assholes” get their just deserts when they end up on a sort of prison ship. The captain runs a tight ship and does not tolerate little asshole behavior. The captain leads them to a hedonistic island which has hidden dangers and consequences. After that it just gets really weird. 4 stars.
This definitely had a “Lord of the Flies” mixed with a not so obvious LGBTQ undertone. Cinematography was spectacular, acting was well done…but obvious women serenading as men and obvious women masking their gender…To be blunt, I left before the third act cause all these elements wouldn’t allow me to finish this film.

Visions of suffering was way better/scarier to me
My personal favourite parts were when Hubert got stuck in the blob, their bodies changing
