The opening title proudly announces, A Gore film by Brian Paulin, which it is. Low-budget, good practical gore would have been more apt though.
Straight away you have some bad actors playing doctors dealing with a delivery going bad, including a nurse who actually smiles a dimple-cheeked smile midway through it and another guy who looks more like Scott Ian than a doctor. Anyway, there’s this guy, Kevin, who loses his wife and baby and spends the next 15 mins of film-time grieving the miscarriage and seeing visions before deciding to do something about it – revenge against the medical staff and the resourceful use of their destroyed bodies to try and contact his dead wife, and maybe even bring her back.

I went in expecting this to just be a shamelessly cheesy and funny gore movie. Well, it is that, yet it also manages to be atmospheric and pretty disturbing at the same time. The plot spins into total batshit chaos in the last half hour or so. If you like really fucked up B-movies you will probably like this, as I did.

After the death of an unborn child the director then decides to murder a piano by presumably playing it with only his thumbs. The soundtrack is awful, but what do you expect from a low budget film. However, I wasn’t expecting the special effects to be as good as they were. Kept me captivated to see what effects would be done next. Plus the film answers the question ‘Can you get STDs from putting the D in a dead body’. A fun little film. 3/5 bloody thumbs.

Well.. The movie has a low budget and not great acting but I liked it. First of all, the initial drama, although the photography is very amateur, can be felt. The low-cost effects are however very well done and give a vintage touch to the film. The plot that is developing is a bit strange but it succeeds well, nothing is missing from the film, there is a bit of everything.
It’s an underground film, not a Hollywood production, so take it for what it is.
Recommended for blood and gore lovers.
