Plot – Spoilers:
Sequel to Carrie features Sue from the original, now as a counsellor at a school where Rachel is a misfit. Rachel too has telekinetic powers that she hasn’t fully understood or harnessed yet. But their manifestation during her childhood led her mother to a mental breakdown and placed her in foster care. When her best friend kills herself following a rude breakup, Rachel finds the triggers needed to put her powers to use.
The football players and their little point-scoring game is based on the notorious Spur Posse from California.
Going from “Carrie” (1976) to “Carrie 2: The Rage” (1999) isn’t a soul crushing, heartbreaking disappointment like going from “The Exorcist” (1973) to “The Exorcist II – The Heretic” (1977) but it still sucks. Just because I’m watching every EUM movie all the way through to the end doesn’t mean you should subject yourself to something like this. It is better than “The Exorcist II – The Heretic” (1977). 2 stars.

Quite good, the carnage at the end was far better than that in Carrie 1. The music was horrendous, but typical for a horror film aimed at teens.
