Plot – Spoilers:
A Lucifer Valentine documentary on a group of junkies living together. The documentary aspects are questionable, particularly the ending, but what’s real is the shooting up and the ramblings that are often personal while revealing the underlying emptiness. There isn’t much black metal either, but if you’re looking for an intense voyeuristic take on a bunch of junkies who willfully reject hope, Black Metal Veins is it.
So did Raven really die at the end of Black Metal Veins? Seems unlikely. What’s more likely is that she had heavily passed out and the sheets were doused with fake blood.

I thought this was a pretty good documentary until the staged scenes. Then I thought the whole thing was taking the piss and a wind up. I’ll go 2 and a half stars. If it was a straight up documentary about a bunch of junkies, without the bullshit, I would have given it a higher score.

the best Lucifer Valentine movie. Its raw, intimate, makes you really feel. You understand how they came to that, why they do what they do, and what even made them start. Watching them get worse, more open, more into that vice every cut. Its simple editing, makes you feel like you’re there, filming, talking, participating but only as the camera guy. Amazing.

I’ve tried crack a couple times. Last time 6 years ago. It was fucking tasty. Expensive taste. I also tried meth a couple times. Nasty taste but super high. Took MDMA ecstasy for a year every weekend. They were strong but the strongest of them that got me high for 3 days was a pill called espranor 8mg. Dangerous syntactic heroin for heroin users when they’re trying to quit or they run out. We were 4 guys. It was 1 pill. 4 of us took quarters. Every time you smoke a cigarette you just want to die. Strongest shit I took. Much more stronger than ketamine

I want to start off by saying how genuinely grateful I am that everyone in this film, regardless of how fucked up their lives are/were, not a single one of them ever harmed or abused any of their pets. That in and of itself is a redeeming quality in each one of these people.
Also, I just want to say how beautiful and pretty Raven is. She has such a cute way of speaking and with such a sweet voice. She could be absolutely gorgeous. I sincerely hope she’s able to pull herself out of this lifestyle before it really does kill her. I have tried and tried, albeit unsuccessfully, to find out any information about her online as to what her real full name is and anything about her life today in 2024. If anyone knows please let me know. I truly hope she’s healthy and taking better care of herself and doing well today; all of them for that matter, but especially her. ❤
