The final days of Hitler in his Berlin bunker, based on the book by the American Newsweek journalist, James P. O’Donnell. O’Donnell met with Speer years after he had first investigated the bunker at the end of the war, and more or less accepted Speer’s account, which therefore sees sections of this film not deviating too much from what has since come to be known as the Speer myth.
Towards the end of the war, Hitler, failing in health remains obstinate but increasingly isolated from his core group, most of whom are in the final throes of their conviction in the cause. There are a few though who remain loyal and undeterred by mortality knocking at the bunker doors.
Anthony Hopkins is memorable in his performance while the film seems almost sympathetic to its notorious characters, temporarily absolving them of their past crimes and looking at them in isolation – as doomed people facing an unceremonious end, yet who are also privileged enough to get to choose their ending in as grand a manner that a bunker under bombardment might afford.

Great production. Anthony Hopkins’ insanity-laced interpretation of Hitler was so over the top at times that I thought Hopkins was going to have an aneurysm or a heart attack right on the screen. It is doubtful that anyone could have portrayed Magda Goebbels better than Piper Laurie with her icy cold performance. I do feel that “Downfall” (2004) may be a slightly better film but there is no doubt that I have to give “The Bunker” 5 stars. It’s brilliant.

im gunna say i seen the orginal VHS version there is a deleted seen … where the woman poisions the kids forces Cynide in there mouths till they are dead .. i seen this movie in high-school history class .. shook my world to see that a lil bit . for what reason i kept thinking ..

This reeks of Jewish propaganda. Kids, history is being rewritten through movies by the Jews in Hollywood and around the world because you won’t read books and learn from them. Hitler was a courageous, nationalistic man who was proud of his heritage. People who are proud of their European ancestry and know their history are terrifying to the merchants because they can’t tear their roots from them as easily as they do the dumb, drooling masses. Be proud of your ancestry, read, and take action to make your local community stronger, without the Jews running everything. Also, make sure to call out the Jews when you see them committing evil acts and always, always check the last name of the author of any article that tells you what you should be thinking or what is right or wrong. This will be a good start. Next, find some info on Ursula Haverbeck and what the Jews did to her. She worked in one of the labor camps and even goes so far as to show instructions from the manuals they had to follow to make sure they cooked their food using methods that held the most nutritional value to keep the Jews healthy. Why would a concentration camp go through the expense of creating swimming pools and athletic fields for people that they are murdering? Do you think Germany had the $ to spare during WW2?

EUM cant get enough of jewish propaganda. At my zoo, we circumcise all our gorillas because the eldest gorilla is Jewish and demands it. We can’t argue with faith, and since we also shave our gorillas, we find the circumcised gorilla penises to be much more visually appealing, and I know our guests enjoy that touch as well because I’ve had many, many people come up to me and tell me how much they admire the penises on our shaved, Jewish gorillas, and that’s when I take the opportunity to try to convert them to Judaism on the elder gorilla’s behalf.
