watched this movie about a month ago and i just had to watch it again idk why it’s just so nice
Loved this movie. The torture scenes were really well done and mostly unique to other torture films I’ve seen. Honestly some of the best torture scenes I’ve seen. The acting is alright up until the dad is tortuing the killer. I’m sorry but his anger just doesn’t feel convincing in those scenes. However this does not deter from how much I like the movie. I recommed it

Omfg this was waaaay better then days. I’m glad the father actually found joy in torturing the perpetrator opposed to seven day where the father was a punk ass bitch always crying and drinking and shit. It was sinister in the best way imaginable and its definitely a favorite.

Dank aussie film with some good torture
Someone had actually recommended this film in the comments of another Aussie film. I did watch it at that point and really enjoyed it. I’ve now recommended it to many of my friends.
Quite enjoyable, shame about the dialogues being too quiet sometimes compared to the background sound. Also too bad he didn’t get more time to play with the fucker.
I am a fan of revenge films however this feels like the film is simply a vehicle for torture porn that it is eager to get to (imo). The revenge plot is ‘heavy-handed’ in its execution and character development and therefore identification/attachment to characters is minimal (for me). The acting doesn’t help, with Derek displaying a minimal range of expressions/emotions. That said, it is effed up and deserves to be on this site and the torture scenes are likely to remain with you after the film. However, I wasn’t really engaged with this film. 2.5/5 rolls of barbed wire.

A brutal and agonizing film, especially in parts, emotionally confronting. The audio was sloppy intermittently.
He should’ve castrated him! I thought that would’ve been the grand finale! I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Watched up to halfway when the torture started at which point any hope of a decent plot or character development disappeared. Overall quite abysmal , also poor sound quality.

I like revenge movies and this is a good one. A big problem I had with this film is the sound. There are times when the music and the sirens are painfully loud and lots of times when the voices are so soft you can’t hear them even when you turn the sound all the way up. Australians are hard for us Americans to understand anyway but you would have to be a lip reader to understand what is being said in several sections of the film. I think it is strange that with so many people involved in the making of the film that no one pointed this out to supervising sound recordist Shana Withers before final production. Regardless of the sound it is still a good movie and I recommend watching it.
A pretty dreadful movie overall, though the nonce torture is top notch.
