Archival footage spliced together within original surreal material. There are no subs for the Russian voiceovers. Some of them are supposed to be reading passages from the works of Thomas Mann.
Includes:
Myriad surgical procedures involving hands and feet being stitched up, a rod inserted into a leg, the surgical separation of a pair of Siamese babies. And just when you’re getting used to all the grotesque images, a mass of flesh and skin is pulled down to reveal it to actually be a woman’s neck.
Microscopic life seemingly up to no good.
Some superhuman created after being designed with engineering protractors, scales and pencils, who then proceeds to break a piece of iron with his fist.
It also follows Siamese twin girls over a couple years. The girls for the most part of the recordings, beam excitedly as they grow up and learn to perform stunts aka routine stuff for regular folk.

Excellent film. I found it very psychedelic like Sweet Movie.
Great musicand the lack of context/subtitles just added to the intrigue for me.

Blue Ruin, 2013 was mentioned a while back. Just watched and have to say its a nice little film. Would not say its fucked up but what violence it has is well done.

A menacing and foreboding musical soundtrack that features backwards musical instruments and sounds plays while you are viewing specialized and unorthodox medical procedures. There are what appear to be archaeologists rooting around in caves and picking up bugs along with other seemingly random images. Siamese twins bum me out/creep me out and are featured mainly in section two. There are no subtitles so I had no idea what they were talking about and that made it suck to watch. If it had subtitles I would give it no more than 3 stars. I did like the soundtrack most of the time so I will leave it with 2 stars. You’d be better off to watch a Fredrick Wiseman documentary.
