Plot – Spoilers:
Young Judith gets a new camera and unwittingly chronicles the breakdown of her family.
Early on, the family is buzzing over moving to a new place by the beach that Dad is confident they can afford with his upcoming promotion and all. Judith is the only one not too keen, because she fancies the older girl next door. But she anyway goes along with the plan, mostly because Dad, whom she loves, seems so excited about it all.
Dad takes his role as the head of the family and provider very seriously and often appears to be trying too hard to fit in with the rest, though everyone around puts this down to his failed ambitions at being a comedian on TV.
But Dad has been lying to try and colour a bleak future and the pressure of expectation makes him increasingly isolated and hostile.
In a glut of found-footage movies from that decade, Exhibit A manages to find a memorable spot for itself, somewhere.
Who wants a swimming pool?
Really irritating film with bad acting, bad plot, bad camera work, no gore and very little action. Instead of 1 star I’ll have to give it 2 stars because the dad was so annoying. I bet the actor is like that in real life. It sucked.
The acting hits the right level (imo) and gives believability that you are looking into a middle class family, its expectations, secrets and a father’s breakdown. A strong 3.5 / 5 magic screwdrivers.
She’s still alive, could be bad acting but her breathing fogged the camera up when everyone died.
i liked this movie
Typical British film too much talking and little action so boring

Hey guys i have something very important to tell you i had sex with my wife after 10 years
Excellent…
A proper British drama.
Totally believable.. a t times cringeworthy but bloody enjoyable. I know people like this.
A great film.
Men know very well that they’re expendable worthless meat logs that are meant to die before 30 and work dangerous jobs so they cope by creating a situation where they’re the “provider” for a group of people who are dependent on them just to have purpose then break down when they even fail at that. Now that sperm banks exist and women can work too they lost every bit of importance they once had. Couldn’t happen to nicer people.
I saw this a couple of years ago, Wasn’t a happy film. I really didn’t like the dad.
