Wait 30secs. Movie still not playing? Click the "Can't Watch?" tab.
Click this first
A new tab will open and a basic security check like a captcha will be performed. After completing the check, close that page and return here.
Refresh this page. Wait 30 secs. The movie should load and you can just hit play.
If it still doesn't play, Click here to watch the movie
The movie should now start playing in a new tab of your browser or begin downloading to your device. This option has the minor disadvantage that English-language movies with optional subtitles in the movie player will not include these subs with this method.
The new system here has been designed keeping in mind even people with low internet speeds sub-8mbps. Even if you have a really bad connection, you should still be able to watch the movie without any issues if you:
Start the movie. Pause it. Wait for 30-45 seconds. Start playing again.
This 'Can't Watch' method really only works if it's your specific device/browser that's interfering with the player. There is no real advantage of speed here. Or if there is a temp network glitch or read lag from the server disk.
If you're still having problems, try using 'Incognito mode' in your browser. On iPhones, especially older ones, use Chrome instead of Safari. Might help.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure that the newly opened tab is not an ad popup asking you to download some software or whatever. Close any such popups and don't download any software - those are ads. Nothing is needed to be done by you other than to complete the security check which is often automated.

Starring: Jacob Reynolds (Solomon), Nick Sutton (Tummler), Chloe Sevigny (Dot), Carisa Glucksman (Helen), Darby Dougherty (Darby), Jacob Sewell (Bunny Boy)
Country: United States
Language: English (Eng Subs)
Runtime: 01:29:03

Plot – Spoilers:
Set in an Ohio town a few years after a destructive tornado, Gummo captures the despondent lives of some of the residents, particularly the teenagers.
Tummler and Solomon are friends, more importantly, business partners – they kill cats and sell them. There isn’t much else of a plot. Instead, through short vignettes we get a sense of the mood in the town. There are scenes of animal cruelty, underage sexual activity including Chloe Sevigny who plays the oldest teen sister kissing a young mute in a bunny hat and Solomon having a meal while in a dirty tub.
Depending on your personal experiences, you will see the characters in Gummo as pathetic lowlifes or feel a sense of empathy and sympathy for them.

i liked it
A near perfect film. I watched it for the first time as a wee-lad and loved it.
Harmony’s last great film was Julien Donkey Boy.
Wish he could tap into this kind of energy again and make an actual film of this caliber. Well, I suppose he’s a bit old to do that now. Someone else will have to carry the torch.
rah rah murica!!
great 90s movie in my top 20 films from the 90s.
Essential EUM – don’t skip this one!
Dirty, grungy and destitute – the side of America that has largely been swept under the rug and left to rot.
9/10
I love the aesthetics of the deserted places and abandoned buildings or factories and even if this movie doesn’t directly shows one of those, it’s vibes are very similar to those kind of vibes i like. Like old forgotten small villages/towns that only residents stay and no turists, people who are bored af and have nothing to do with their lives, rusty and dusty atmosphere, etc. It just seems so real, i been traveling my whole life and almist every small town in the U.S. it’s like this, old long forgotten towns that the population is either elders or teenagers, (so the town is slowly decaying and after the old ones pass away, the town will become a ghost town) in the middle of nowhere, most of which were build either because a then-new big factory open up (so people move in from different places for job opportunities) , a new mine, mall, you name it, some decades of flourish and then, this factory/mine/mall/whatever closes, the owner sells it and leave it, and the small town slowly dies since the residents will just seek for jobs somewhere else. Small buisiness that are always closed for customers, dirty faces, bad teeth hygiene, DIY beers and whiskey, young kids who do really fucked up things (worse than in this movie) just to cure their boredom.
Great movie! 10/10
“For the introduction of a socialist economy is more than a ‘decree’! It requires a moral understanding, an ethical conviction, a religious profession of faith! For in its innermost essence, it is a turning away from the idolatry of previous millennia, the overcoming of a monetary system already attacked by MOSES AND CHRIST, which could be maintained to the present day only by keeping people stupid and terrorizing them, and by a mendacious sanctimoniousness. To bring about this powerful revolution is our mission; to prevent it, on the other hand, is the intention and perhaps already the task assigned to Schacht.”
— Adolf Hitler, in Otto Wagener’s Memoirs of a Confidant, p. 263
i love this movie so much. if i had to choose only one movie to watch for the rest of my life it would be this one. i’ve seen it probably like 30 times now and it never gets old.
extremely yiddish movie. It’s like a revelation of the jewish racial soul
awesome soundtrack
Love that Dio shirt! I have the exact same one from ’85
Why tf footage ain’t playing
I see a lot of negative comments on this movie, but I want to explain why it is significant to many, when you grow up in small town dipshit Ohio youll likely experience weirdness like this, I lived in a home that had the nasty brown bath water, I saw the weirdo hicks, the meaningless lives, the kids finding weird ways to make money, etc….. I love this movie because it reminds me of where I came from, not that im proud of it, just reminds me is all……. “crying .. over you..”
the movie took place in the early 90s after about 5 tornadoes destroyed Xenia, Ohio …..
bunny bouy is my comfrot chatafter 😽😽
Loved every bits of it
x
In the song “love child” by the band fibes, oh fibes! There is a reference to this movie, and the funniest thing is that this song appeared in a turtle children’s movie.
my favorite movie of all time.
this movie is as good as bacon and i love it <3
This movie fucking sucks
typical artsy garbage from the artsy garbage master himself
really weird hearing burzum music throughout the movie haha
just like the zoo
Apart from the odd-faced actor this film is just trash. Having not seen it for a long time it feels like it should have been made a decade before it was. Bath scene, ..Steptoe and Son.. .
It has definitely lost its shock-value over time.
reminds me of my childhood. good ol’ meth head parents kept interesting company
This movie hot the spot for me. No plot. None necessary. Weird enough to make me feel just a bit “icky.”
Not gonna lie,the scene with dancing mother and son was really funny. 😀 i see some unique faces in this movie.
1:17:11 “Don´t touch her kootchy!” hahahhahaa
Even when americans try to fucked up a movie, it´s better than any french movie!
I really don’t understand why some of y’all like this so much…
Love this one, all the dirty feet and ketchup smell, great white trash flick, and dark and depressing as they come.
just seems like some white indie bullshit for aesthetic, it was alright but just reminds me a bit of abstract art
That kid Solomon doesn’t even look human wtf that town is inhabited by inbred retarded and very disturbed people. That’s the USA for you
Shit film, there is no meaning to this crap. Harmony Korine is a talentless hack.
I’m from Ohio, so half of this is “seems legit” and the other half is “wtf”.
I’m not gonna lie and say it’s the best film i’ve seen but it was entertaining to watch I liked the aesthetic and the music choices are great. It’s cool movies like this are made.
great movie
This film was elegantly wasted, mirth aside it contained affectionate characters and unshrouded simplicity, gorgeously depicted.
didnt spazz do a song for this film?, i could be mistaken
kek
I didn’t get it.
Watched with the wife and our daughters, great film for the fam ?
sad boys
I didn’t get it. Is everyone trash and retarded? Is that the story?
Only thing I liked was the Bathory song midway thru
This movie was absolutely beautiful. It is one of the most touching and fucked up films I have ever seen although it doesnt show gore or blood as many others. It showed something so disturbing of reality like a beautfiful dream. Thanks a lot for creating this site, I had been searching for this film for a long time.
easily classic. made me laugh and was a take on childhood but also had some more serious and complex parts.
the bath scene seriously lives up to expectation, seeing it in the context of the movie after I saw that clip alone before seeing the movie made it totally different. without context it was just sad and gross, but korine built the setting really well so at a couple points it felt very sweet.
also the clothing choices are great! especially the albino woman and of course the rabbit’s iconic ears.
WTF did I just watched?
Warning: furniture violence & cruelty
This movie is proudly jewish
Watched this movie awhile back and watching it again for old times sake, absolutely love this movie, it’s the most unique experience you will have. The movie reaches deeep within the roots of some of the most depressing places that really exist in our world today, daring, disgusting, and real. 10/10
You retards. This is certainly among the top ten movies ever made. Thank you to website weird guys who made this happen.
This movie is insane, but charming in a way.
There are alot of interesting/zany scenes, the plot is non-existant and the characters are kinda of captivating/entertaining (fav had to be Tummler), even if some of are sad wretched/pitiful lowlifes or bunch of weirdos.
This movie is quite insane, but I recommend if you like Harmony’s work/John Water’s kind of movie !! >:^]
Movie quality is good, but I was let down with the lack of follow through of what appeared to be effed up scenes. Good movie if you are an artsy film student.
