Killing of America (1981)

Option 1Can't Watch?

Audio sounds demonic? Video not playing/delay while scrolling? Use the "Can't Watch?" tab.

If the movie didn't load, you're being blocked by a security service in use here. Can happen for a number of reasons. Or your specific device/browser might be throwing up weird errors.

Click this first

A new tab will open and a basic security check like a captcha will be performed. After completing the check, close that page and return here.

Refresh this page. Wait 30 secs. The movie should load and you can just hit play.

If it still doesn't play, Click here to watch the movie

The movie should now start playing in a new tab of your browser or begin downloading to your device. This option has the minor disadvantage that English-language movies with optional subtitles in the movie player will not include these subs with this method.

The new system here has been designed keeping in mind even people with low internet speeds sub-8mbps. Even if you have a really bad connection, you should still be able to watch the movie without any issues if you:
Start the movie. Pause it. Wait for 30-45 seconds. Start playing again.

This 'Can't Watch' method really only works if it's your specific device/browser that's interfering with the player. There is no real advantage of speed here. Or if there is a temp network glitch or read lag from the server disk.

On iPhones, especially older ones, use Chrome instead of Safari. Might help.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure that the newly opened tab is not an ad popup asking you to download some software or whatever. Close any such popups and don't download any software - those are ads. Nothing is needed to be done by you other than to complete the security check which is often automated.

About:
The Killing of America is a documentary that laments gun culture in the USA and ties it to violence over the decades. Released in 1981, it’s probably a bit dated but includes footage of assassinations of important figures, serial killers and even an interview with Ed Kemper.

Documentary about assassins and serial killers mostly. There is a section that starts at about 1:03:10 about a real sadistic fuck named Lawrence Bittaker. They don’t mention his accomplice Roy Norris and they kind of just briefly rush through the story but these 2 motherfuckers were 2 of the most cruel and inhumane fucking assholes in the whole documentary. They were also known as “The Toolbox Killers.” The makers of the documentary push their gun control agenda a little but they don’t try to force in down your throat. I’ll give this 4 stars.

A documentary film that I think should absolutely be on EUM is “Titicut Follies” (1967) which was directed by Fredrick Wiseman. It is the story of the Bridgewater State Hospital for the Criminally Insane and the abuse suffered by the inmates during their incarceration. “Titicut Follies” was banned for 24 years to the general public due to the Massachusetts government trying to cover up what was happening there. “Titicut Follies” is cited as a big reason Bridgewater State Hospital was closed for good in 1987. Massachusetts is even more corrupt now than it was back then.

It’s a pity I didn’t know this movie existed when I graduated high school; I was in charge of organizing the films shown at the post graduation party. I would have been proud to show this to my fellow graduates. Delicious.

That is genuinely the smoothest footage I have ever seen in a documentary. And it is from 80s!?

Lee Harvey Oswald did not shoot JFK… The window in the book depository didn’t even have the angle of bullet which blew his head off. Nixon and the Generals probably had a hand in killing him. One more thing… That stolen country is cursed with death ever since it was stolen from the Native Americans. It’s Karma on a national scale.

Good ole Elmer Wayne Henley! Has an IQ of 1 + 25, maybe. He gave the reporters a confession on live TV, and he forgot to request an attorney. What a great loser! It’s sad how the media subliminally reinforces the idea that evil is the quickest way to enlightenment. If it wasn’t for television, most of the upwardly mobile people in this country would not even have a functional, business-vocabulary! 4.0005 of 0.01 stars.

Really enjoyed this until the final 5 mins. I don’t get this obsession with John Lennon. He was a wife beater who physically and psychologically abused his son. Warbling on about having no possessions whilst he bought property and financed a lavish lifestyle for him and his wife. Driving around in Rolls Royces and telling us he came from a working class Liverpool background when infact he was born into a middle class family. ……Rant over.

The Mondo Cane series in the 60s and 70s and this doco spawned Traces and Faces of Death, each upping the gore and intensity right up to Mdpope in the 2010s and then others that shall remain unnameable and will probably never see the light of day unless one wants to trawl through the sewer of the dark web at their own risk. TKOA is just an intro into these docos and is quite mild in comparison to all others.
