this is worth watching for Kim Gordon’s performance alone. It is a little slow, but still a good watch. The cinematography is well done, very nice visuals throughout.
“Last Days” is the 3nd film in Van Sant’s “Death Trilogy,” the 1st being “Gerry” (2002) and the 2nd is “Elephant” (2005), all three of which are “based on actual events.” This one will really test your fucking patience. It’s the stereotype of what a slacker grunge dude does all day. They just wander around their mansions mumbling to themselves while they rake in millions for doing nothing. Easy right? Just to set the record straight, Kurt Cobain was a real go getter who calculated his rise to fame and was a very hard working, intelligent guy. Later, he became disillusioned with the music business and his wife and he was planning to make a big change. Some were against that change and he ended up dead along with Kristen Pfaff from the band Hole who Kurt had become very close to. Pfaff was found dead just 2 months after Cobain under mysterious circumstances.
Gus Van Zant likes to go for walks with his camera and film people from behind for an hour straight while they just walk and maybe mumble. I liked this one the least out of the 3, not only because it is slow, but also because it perpetuates a false narrative that would benefit some who had eyes on Kurt’s cash and not his well being. 2 stars. Just for the record: I’m not a big Nirvana fan. A couple of songs were OK but I hated most of them.
Poor little rich boy boo hoo hoo. The movie’s not as bad as people are saying, pretty boring sometimes though. Best part is Asia Argento’s naked ass. You can’t see her butthole or anything like that, but it’s nice. That’s the best part of the movie.
That was one of the worst, boring fucking movies I’ve ever seen.

Cobain was a degenerate but he wasn’t retarded as depicted here, the real story is Courtney love had him killed because of money and their kids custody issue .He wanted to get rid of her bad ,he figured out she was a succubus for$ as she proved in the 10 year legal battle over nirvana song ownership and royalties with Dave Grohl, she wanted it all…I like when the black phone book guys says CUNext Tuesday ..pretty funny!
