Audio sounds demonic? Video not playing/delay while scrolling? Use the "Can't Watch?" tab.
Click this first
A new tab will open and a basic security check like a captcha will be performed. After completing the check, close that page and return here.
Refresh this page. Wait 30 secs. The movie should load and you can just hit play.
If it still doesn't play, Click here to watch the movie
The movie should now start playing in a new tab of your browser or begin downloading to your device. This option has the minor disadvantage that English-language movies with optional subtitles in the movie player will not include these subs with this method.
The new system here has been designed keeping in mind even people with low internet speeds sub-8mbps. Even if you have a really bad connection, you should still be able to watch the movie without any issues if you:
Start the movie. Pause it. Wait for 30-45 seconds. Start playing again.
This 'Can't Watch' method really only works if it's your specific device/browser that's interfering with the player. There is no real advantage of speed here. Or if there is a temp network glitch or read lag from the server disk.
On iPhones, especially older ones, use Chrome instead of Safari. Might help.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure that the newly opened tab is not an ad popup asking you to download some software or whatever. Close any such popups and don't download any software - those are ads. Nothing is needed to be done by you other than to complete the security check which is often automated.

Marquis is one of the strangest movies you’ll ever see with all the characters, humans in animal form.
Loosely set around the time the Marquis de Sade was imprisoned, he struggles to retain his sanity as he’s systemically denied writing material and ink. He keeps it together by constantly being in conversation with Colin – his cock. In some ways, his cock is his writing muse but also someone who’s desperate for his own independent identity. With a face that’s more human than Marquis, it’s a weird but brilliant satirical take on ‘thinking with your cock.’
There are other hilarious and tragically comical characters around the Marquis to capture a period of great political change in French history.
Excellent film but you have to be in the mood to watch it. I tried to watch it twice before and only got half way through each time before finally seeing the whole film today. I think the issue was that I was trying to read the subtitles but I was distracted by the animation. It’s kind of a high brow sex comedy that is very funny at times but you can lose sight of the story if you don’t pay attention. The animation/puppeteering/claymation is incredible. I like how when Marquis is dreaming he sees himself in claymation form instead of the human form with an animated dog’s head. 4 and a half stars.
Uhh…its alright , very weird
A fantastic, surreal look at the Marquis. Just the prosthetics are well made and bizarre. Definitely deserving of being on this site.
a few things that came to my attention: first I think characters portrayed as animals mean which characteristics is more dominant in each character for example The Marquis de Sade – Dog :lustful and loyal , Ambert – The Rat (Jailer) : Cunning, sneaky, opportunistic , justine – Cow : gullible and naïve, Juliette de Titane – The Horse : Strong, dominant, independent, Gaëtan de Préaubois – The Rooster (Governor) : Proud, authoritative, pompous the talking penis represents Sade’s sexual desires or rawness of his writings or perhaps his creative power him making a box for it means he is trying to express himself in a way that is acceptable to society him being in prison represents a lack of freedom of speech imposed by state or society him being accused of defecating on a cross means he has criticized Christianity Ambert the rat (jailor) represents the oppressive system which wants marquis to sodomize him which I think it means to use his creativity to serve him Justine represents people or perhaps naïve individuals as in one scene she is milked (exploited) by authorities she is also represents people’s hypocrisy, on one hand she admires Marquis works and on the other hand she accuses him of rape Juliette represents revolutionary aristocrats who has a twisted relationship with governor (probably meaning corrupt power dynamics) and she uses that relationship to overthrow the governor. Justine’s rape and the newborn with an iron mask means oppression and injustice which no-one wants to take… Read more »
Not enough sex : too much frustrating teasing and nothing concrete in the end… But a very effedup movie nonetheless pleasant to watch…

Masterpiece. A funny thing is that the writer and the director, at the same time, were also making a TV show for children.
