Plot – Spoilers:
The cycle of abuse and violence gifted from one generation to another.
Buss is both caring and abusive to her daughter, whenever she sees her. She’s also been taught by her mother, the secret sauce to a healthy fulfilling life – warm blood and human flesh. Buss butchers and maims without feeling anyone that could be a potential hindrance and then feeds their meat to customers that throng her newly-opened noodle shop. But there is an aching vulnerability beneath all the horribly violent veneer.
Meat Grinder takes some needless and awkward political diversions, but otherwise treats its copious gore and violence with an artistry that aspires to, but just falls short of greatness. There are also plenty of scenes dripping with irony like this witless guy who sees himself as an irresistible charmer, and who ignorantly vows to protect Buss shortly after she’s just finished ripping apart several men.
This version of Meat Grinder is generally referred to as the Uncut one and is the longest available. You might also be interested in Meat Grinder – Thai Cut, which is slightly different in the way it’s been edited.
