Academically gifted Justine has just joined veterinary school where her sister Alexia also goes. A vegetarian all her life, Justine is mortified by some of the initiation rituals that include eating raw rabbit kidneys. She soon develops rashes all over her body and to her shock, a craving for meat.
Raw has scenes that have been so tastefully shot, you’ll most likely carry some of them with you for a while afterwards.
Off the wall story about two sisters who apparently start to crave human flesh after eating rabbit kidneys but it is discovered that it goes much deeper than that. A small role as the dad by acting legend Laurent Lucas. It may be a tad too bizarre for all intents and purposes. 10 out of 10 on the fucked up meter. 3 stars.

Very good movie. Touching and raw as fuck.
This movie was very interesting. Initially i thought i was going to love it, but the main character and her sister were demented freaks (they are French after all). I like freaks in my movies but i had no empathy for either character, maybe the older sister at first (because of the little accident that changes everything), but both characters were pretty shitty considering their appetites. An interesting watch for sure, but not my favorite film. I will give them props on some of the songs in this flick, it was definitely cool hearing Nada’s “Ma che freddo fa” near the end.
An entertaining pop movie that is very bad at hiding from whom it steals and doesn’t manage to say anything interesting or come up with anything unique, but will nonetheless be enjoyable throughout.

Honestly one of the greatest movies of all time. I hope Titane gets added to EUM, it’s from the same director and is also absolutely fucking insane in the best way possible.
The part where her sister is trying to teach her how to get people killed so they can eat is so fucking cute I can’t stand it.
I like the movie, Titane better.

i remember when this first came out hearing stories about the foreign film that made people vomit in the theaters, damn they really weren’t exaggerating. i’m pretty desensitized to gore so i didn’t expect much yet in every other aspect they didn’t fail to make you feel a constant sense of imminent doom throughout the movie. one of the few movies that has truly left me terrified. def a scared straight for any potential dahmers out there. beautifully made absolutely 5 stars will never watch this again thank you EUM

This is excellent. Can’t believe it was the Director’s first feature. Not much blood and gore considering the subject matter but don’t let that deter you. Acting, cinematography etc are all top notch. When the ‘reveal’ at the end comes, key scenes during the movie just hit harder. 5 stars.

Wow is right. Saw this on tv but after watching it here I realised how much was missing in the tv version. Great acting, not too much gore and an interesting subject. I really enjoyed it. I would recommend this movie and rate it 9 out of 10.

i feel like im reading into this movie so much that i just make myself look stupid, but what i should be focused ok is the phenomenal acting, make up artistry, set design, theme and cinematography. i can see why its such an acclaimed movie. very thrilling, gory, and satisfying.
Thought this movie was a grad. Absolutely not even close to Martyrs in any way. Thanks for having it available to watch though.
