Loosely based on the Russian Neo-Nazi and skinhead, Maxim Martsinkevich.
A group of Moscovite skinheads led by Sasha (Alexander) are gearing up for the big reveal of their ideology which is mostly about targeting Soviet immigrants who they believe are leeching jobs and homes that rightfully belong to pure Slavic Russians. Sasha is a German and Nazi fan, but not entirely a fanboi. He takes the things he likes while also learning from history by trying to retain control. The group is mentored by a vet-turned-schoolteacher who functions as a buffer between them and the cops/authorities.
Sasha’s family are simple and middle-class. Dad’s an open liberal, disapproving of his son’s activities. Sister also doesn’t care much for his views though fond of him personally, while Mother is non-controversial. The movie is a kind of POV as we follow Sasha through the camera of his skinny schoolmate, Edward, who is part-Jewish and feels neither here nor there in terms of his ancestry, but certainly feels tough while with the group. Edward’s film is part of the propaganda plan for the group’s big arrival on the ideological stage, but in its unedited form, provides insights into the concerns, ambitions, inter-personal dynamics and not-for-public-viewing, sometimes-comedic, moments from a group with a stigma attached to it.
Sasha is mostly bemused by Edward fangirling him. But there’s the connection from school and Edward is a useful idiot. But he still remains skeptical about Edward’s dedication to the cause and whether there might be another reason why jewboy follows him around.
This is an underrated gem in the Neo-Nazi genre mostly because it’s relatively unknown.

Would you like to see a film about some hardcore Russian neo Nazi skinheads that rampage around the city beating the ever living fucking shit out of immigrant niggers and leaving a path of destruction wherever they go? I would too but this movie isn’t that. The premise of the film is about a Jewish kid that follows his neo Nazi school chum Sasha around with a camera, a la “The Blair Witch Project” (1999) style, with the intent of making a certain type of film. What happens often with these types of stories is that the film turns out to be a document of something that wasn’t intended, meaning from the viewpoint of the guy filming the film within the movie, not the actual movie which has the outcome exactly the way they intended it to be. I’m going to give this one just a cunt hair over 2 stars and let me tell you why. Although there were parts of the film I liked, like Sasha’s 2 song performance with his guitar player friend, I felt disconnected from the characters. Sasha’s philosophy and unlikability made it impossible to really give a shit about him. I dont understand why this movie is banned from cinemas. It sure as hell shows bad shit but its fucking good and educational. It doesnt sugercoat and shows the fucked up truth of nazis directly so this film should be more known and spread. Its a nice representation and imo it wasnt boring i had a good time watching it all the way through! X
