This is as bizarre as a film can get. There is perhaps a story or narrative in there somewhere, but good luck trying to figure it on your first watch without references.

But where Thief Or Reality rises above others in the genre, is in its visual aesthetics and stunning composition that often veer towards the effed up.

Sometimes it doesn’t go all the way, like with a razorblade-kiss that stops short of exploring its full potential.

But then there are other moments like a notorious scene involving a mother grieving over the loss of her son. While this scene involving an older nude woman and a naked boy isn’t designed to be sexual, not sure how they even went about it without body doubles.
