Plot – Spoilers:
A family of a lot of people fill a shack in a slummy Italian neighborhood. The head of the family, Giacinto, lost one eye to an accident at work and collected a huge insurance sum that he refuses to share with the rest of his large family. He despises them and his paranoid possessiveness over his money has also ripped them away from him.
Most of the time, Giacinto cuts a lonely and sad figure incapable of even enjoying his money. That is, until he meets a prostitute Iside. Iside is fat like his wife, but younger and also lacks the wife’s endearing facial hair. So he brings her home to stay. But it’s when he opens out his money to Iside that his family decide they’ve had enough.
A classic grotesquely-shaped Italian gem.
I watched after another user described it as an Italian Gummo. Was not disappointed at all.
I’m guessing EUM did the subtitles as the term “tranny” didn’t exist in the 70’s?
