Option 1Can't Watch?

Wait 30secs. Movie still not playing? Click the "Can't Watch?" tab.

If the movie didn't load, it means you are being blocked by a security service we use. This can happen for a number of reasons.

Click this first

A new tab will open and a basic security check like a captcha will be performed. After completing the check, close that page and return here.

Refresh this page. Wait 30 secs. The movie should load and you can just hit play.

If it still doesn't play, Click here to watch the movie

The movie should now start playing in a new tab of your browser or begin downloading to your device. This option has the minor disadvantage that English-language movies with optional subtitles in the movie player will not include these subs with this method.

The new system here has been designed keeping in mind even people with low internet speeds sub-8mbps. Even if you have a really bad connection, you should still be able to watch the movie without any issues if you:
Start the movie. Pause it. Wait for 30-45 seconds. Start playing again.

This 'Can't Watch' method really only works if it's your specific device/browser that's interfering with the player. There is no real advantage of speed here. Or if there is a temp network glitch or read lag from the server disk.

If you're still having problems, try using 'Incognito mode' in your browser. On iPhones, especially older ones, use Chrome instead of Safari. Might help.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure that the newly opened tab is not an ad popup asking you to download some software or whatever. Close any such popups and don't download any software - those are ads. Nothing is needed to be done by you other than to complete the security check which is often automated.

Plot – Spoilers:
How bad can a lazy eye get? Apparently terrible.

May begins her childhood with a lazy eye and a domineering mother. Loneliness and rejection through adolescence see her evolve into an awkward vet-assistant with a particular interest in sewing. But she’s not too awkward in her romantic aspirations – when she sees Adam and his attractive hands, she decides she must have those hands stroking her face, come what may.

May is a great example of the idea – there’s a massive difference between being interested in the effed up and being effed up.

Kooky black comedy about a mentally ill nerdy chick who is having trouble with her love life. She discovers some inventive ways to try to alleviate her loneliness with horrific results. 3 stars.

on the homosexuality of this movie, i was really rooting for polly to end up with may. very upset that didnt happen but it all fits the storyline very well.

its nice to see the main character also be queer. she was obviously into her.

and also fun detail about her “perfect” being at the end, she had mostly female parts. so that says something about may doesn’t it

2 details i noticed that i liked is the way she seemed to talk way more naturally and smootly after deciding that she would kill them. its like she finally let go of the constant keeping herself in check so people would like her.

also when she killed adam, i’m pretty sure he was dressed as jesus. if he wasnt then idk it was similar to jesus. and in the scene where she’s killing him theres shots of her washing her hands, which is a reference to the bible.

the guy who sentenced jesus to die on the cross washed his hands to “wash the blame off of him” because the decision was “made by the people” even though he ultimately had the choice. theres peobably something in here that you could connect to the movie. like maybe she didnt feel any guilt for taking anyone’s life because they drove her to it.

She is cute, she is into weird shit, she is an introvert, she is a sweet virgin with no history/ex boyfriends.

Damn, May is my dream girl for real!

If i ever find a girl like her i will instantly marry her and we will live happily together, watching horror movies and watching gore in WatchPeopleDie and similar sites and we will murder people together. 🥰 🖤

(Still a better love story than Twilight)

It’s so satisfying watching her exact gruesome revenge on everyone who shit on her.

I can’t help but to compare this movie to American Mary, but I don’t think it’s quite as good.

Overall, highly recommend 8/10

There is just something about Angela Betitis and her characters, I love how she portrays mental disorders, I love seeing her characters hit their breaking point, especially May, being essentially isolated by everyone else since early childhood, only friend being a doll that she can’t even hold. In a weird way I find her to be beautiful.

to be loved by the “perfect”, this is what anyone would want. In the end, she CREATES the perfect, and the perfect shows affection. Heaven for her.

I loaded this one up because it looked familiar. I was thinking of Excision, but May I had not seen before. I’ve got some mixed feelings about films which portray struggling/mentally ill teens or young adults as psychotic killers because they can be exploitative without reflecting reality, but I came away from this one pleasantly surprised. I think it made use of the same thematic metaphor found in The House That Jack Built, wherein killing is a symbol for the process of personal growth. With Jack, he represented von Trier’s artistic development as a director. With May, I saw it much more near to what was actually portrayed here: a young woman who was developmentally deprived. Killing and creating a new doll for herself was like the relationship styles many people with complex trauma and personality disorders experience in life: taking piecemeal from others as a way of developing both a functional persona and an intimate sense of identity. That was not exactly May’s development as a character in this story, but we got something symbolically congruent and immaculately elegant. May’s sole inheritance of developmental identity from her family of origin was an ancient, fragile doll whose true history eluded her, cordoned away behind an equally fragile shell, which could meaningfully offer her nothing. She was even unable to share this gift with anybody except with an audience who could not see or appreciate it, and simply for them to access it was to destroy it. When May finally accepted… Read more »

I got through it but the sound-track did not help the film and it was slowly predictable. I dearly wanted a happier more upbeat ending. Essentially a montage of good bits sown together with some tatty wool.
As for the cat being mullered by an ash-tray I think it was justified as she had been rejected by so many and then even her pet turned itself against her even though she had saved its life. Plus partly an accident of rage.

Wow…. How the hell did I miss this one..
. What a film … Magical… Creepy… Bloody… And a totally sympathetic lead… This is fantastic… It’s also very sad and speaks a lot on disability and loneliness in a increasing fickle world.
Truly a work of art.

Absolutely beautiful film

I found May’s quirkiness engaging during the first act (‘setup’) but as the film progressed after that May (for me) lost her appeal and I was no longer engaged with the film which was predictable and limped along (imo) particularly the last act (‘resolution’). That said, thank you Admin for the films you put on the site, much appreciated, but for me this film was just 2/5 dolls

Hehe ..that was very entertaining on a very boring & dad Thursday November afternoon in C ovid lockdown No 2 ! I can’t help wondering if the writer/ director of this bloody tale is an admirer of Surrealist artist Hans Bellmer …that song by Hole ‘ Doll Parts ‘ was going through my head when May first became entranced by his hands.I enjoyed that and as a cat ?lover myself I’ m quite sure 100% that Miss Kitty was drinking milk and safety back in her basket after she’d ha d her big moment in film ?

Great movie, not too gory, could have been but it didnt need to be. Great acting by the lead female. I have always liked movies about unhinged girls, dont ask me why but I do. Some years back I saw a film titled Sick Girl, sort of similar to this but a lot gorier and more effed up. ( not a request but I hope it will turn up on this site for others to enjoy ). I really liked ” May ” and I think other viewers will too. Cheers to EUM for showing it.
