This one is a genuine masterpiece and the best of the Mondo films. My favorite segment is where we meet the “Wild Geese” (mercenaries during the 67/68 Congo crisis led by the legendary Colonel “Mad” Mike Hoare)
Some genuinely great footage of the Liberation of Boende (Congo Müller’s division of 5Commando performed this engagement and it is a rarity to see actual combat footage from this era as very little exists)
This is a must watch. One of the few documentary films that had the balls to tell the truth – that the decolonisation of sub saharan Africa was happening too far quickly and would inevitably end in disaster for all involved (and history has proved this films predictions 100% correct)
