For the longest while, the fourth in the Mondo Cane series doesn’t seem to have any purpose and rambles along featuring pride parades, deformed children, sexual cakes and toys that were perhaps a thing of wonder in 1988.
It however does spring surprises without warning and these usually involve the film going back to its controversial roots with animals. Featured here are the vivisection and castration of monkeys.
It’s good I guess but it was no fun for me without the subs. 2 stars.
